Thick, twisted fingers reach out to grab me as I walk – branches that whip and jerk in the wind as they attempt to hold steady against the weather. To my left, the broken shutters of a long-closed-down shop have layers of graffiti decorating them. soulmarks crudely scrawled onto the metal with the owners’ phone numbers written underneath.
