Summary
Zelda is a popular high school senior whose hobbies include theater, the school senate, and fighting with the Vice Principal (who seems to have a personal vendetta against her). Link is her aloof classmate with a motorcycle, two friends, and a bad reputation that steers most people far away from him before he can even say 'hi.' After years of never talking to each other, a brief project in their ASL class has them noticing the other more and more, and they realize that there's more to the other person than meets the eye. They weren’t children anymore, but they pretended that their world didn’t extend past Link’s house, and then Tarrey Town when they ran out of supplies. They’d play pretend that those of the town didn’t recognize the princess as The Princess, didn’t acknowledge the worried looks of the townspeople, refused to think about how they’d soon want and expect their monarch back to restore order and solve their problems as Zelda had so earnestly done before. They pretended they didn’t see children point at her, full of innocent curiosity, and didn’t acknowledge when their parents would pull them away chastising the child for being rude.

They're ending the cycle. Now.
Will include: Link taking no shit from Revali, Impa greatly relaxing her stance of propriety and tradition, and Zelda remembering how much fun her other lives could have.
Oh, and the characters of Breath of the Wild/Age of Calamity dealing with a Link, Zelda, and Impa who are officially done following the rules.
