The color drains completely from Robin's cheeks. “Holy,” she breathes, and her eyes find his. “Y-you’re telling the truth? You’re really a genie?”
“A Jinn,” Steve corrects, but his hands are shaking.
She flips through the contract, her brow furrowing the more she reads. She works her way slowly through the restrictions and stops on the third page. Her eyes go back to the top, disbelief growing with each word.
“Fuck,” Robin gasps, and her wide eyes find his. “A child? They chose for you to be a human child?”
He nods, throat in knots.
“So,” she fumbles. “You’ve been serving the Harringtons for eighteen years?”
“Pretty much.”
“Jesus.”

Als die FIA ausgerechnet Mercedes und Williams zu einem gemeinsamen Team zwingt, prallen ungelöste Spannungen, alte Loyalitäten und neue Sorgen hart aufeinander. George kämpft mit den Folgen seiner Isolation, Toto mit seinem verletzten Stolz – und das zusammengestellte Team mit der Frage, wie man funktionieren soll, wenn die Rudel selbst zerbrochen sind.
Zwischen Trainingssessions, Druck von oben und Momenten, in denen Georges Stärke sichtbar wird, entscheidet sich, ob ein Rudel eine zweite Chance verdient … oder ob manche Brüche nicht mehr zu heilen sind.
