I’m tired of romance novels that flatten women into clichés: the main heroine desirable and capable, while every other woman is painted as a rival, trampy, or malicious. I dislike the careless language, the tired terms, the sex scenes that feel more like porn with a thin sliver of plot than lived intimacy. So these day, I'm writing my own versions of rock star romances, hockey romances - I'm so over what modern romance (especially new adult) looks like these days.
