The Sultan had made up his mind.
One week.
In one week, everything would change.
No matter what he did, no matter how much he fought, there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Kalim’s mating ceremony would proceed regardless of his desires. Even if they had to chain him to the bed with magical inhibitors, his new alpha would take him, and they'd be wed in the morning. Such is his duty, one could suppose, as an omega. His position demanded he have many children, beginning with his own pregnancy to establish an heir before he started his harem. Not to mention, his father was getting older, his mother getting sicker, and Scalding Sands inheritance laws were fuzzy at best about what omegas could inherit without a mate and what their mate had control over when it came to said inheritance. As usual, Kalim Al-Asim came before Kalim the person.

Summary
At the Asim estate, finding objects that could be classified as treasures was like trying to find fish in the sea. Plentiful, colorful, some safe and many more harmful. Jewels and gold, silver and platinum, artifacts from legend. Outfits that cost more than a house, jewelry aside. Paintings that could buy private islands.
Distractions, all of them. Shiny objects meant to keep the focus away from what actually mattered. The children's wing, and the crown jewel of them all: the heir. The eldest of all the master’s children.
Today, the youngest of the Asim were receiving some well-deserved attention away from the nursery and infirmary.

Summary
Though his excuse for his gaze being drawn to Kalim’s back tonight was that his master wasn’t wearing his stupidly expensive nightwear but his equally stupidly expensive halter top, exposing his skin to anyone’s eyes. The butterfly knot Jamil had tied a few hours ago was holding up incredibly well – obviously it was a job well done because he was the one to do it – considering Kalim took every opportunity to pick at it.
Or: Kalim does some homework and Jamil has some fun with his body.
