Luis woke up with a jolt at the sound of incessant heavy knocking on his door. He felt worse than he had earlier; headache eased temporarily, but tiredness hanging off his limbs and clouding his mind.
Annoyance spurred him forward to the door where he yanked it open and glared at the evil person who woke him up from his blissful sleep.

My final contribution for BSD Agere Week 2026 with my favorite thing: babyre! Atsushi is so newborn-coded and I just think he would make the sweetest, cuddliest baby. I've had fun writing for this and I'm grateful for the opportunty and the buddies I've met!
Atsushi drops into an infantile headspace after waking up from a morning nap at the ADA. Yosano, his primary caregiver for the day, doesn’t seem to mind at all. She quickly kicks her caregiving mode up into high gear, making sure the baby is safe and cared for. The ADA agrees it might just be the cutest thing they’ve ever seen.

He could tell she was still in dreamland, and her foot moved to kick him. A giggle burst from his chest. Her face twitched again, eyelashes fluttering. She coughed, sitting up slowly. Orpheus reached to cradle her face. She smiled, dazed, and rested her hand over his. “Good morning, Sunshine.” He sobbed.
“Good morning, Birdie.” Eurydice cried, pressing her forehead against his. Then her lips against his eyelid.
The sunlight seeped in through the curtains, and Orpheus and Eurydice laughed in unison, still pressed against each other. Her soot-covered arms snaked around his waist, and he pressed a kiss against her neck. The smell of blood distracted him and he couldn’t tell if it was coming from her or him. Until the pad of her fingertip brushed against blood on his cheek—oh. “Let’s get you cleaned up, baby.” She coaxed.

And now? you may be wondering. What does Eliot do now? Well. What Eliot does now is scoot himself in even closer, and once he’s essentially smooshed right into Hardison’s side, so close that Hardison can hardly tell where one of them ends and the other begins, he says, “And what if I am?”
