A slice-of-life-ish AU where Alec and Magnus are just two mundanes with their own share of problems dogging their footsteps. Maybe, just maybe, they can find a way to overcome their issues together? Summary
Conflict has arisen among two great kingdoms. To the north lies the House of Lecter, led by a man circulated by whispered rumors and frightened respect. Below him to the south, King Verger rose to power through nefarious means, though none would dare contest his rule for fear of his displeasure. If King Lecter was feared for his mystery, King Verger was feared for lack of it. All under his reign knew of his sadistic ways, and one man remained suffering under his tender affections for years.
Will Graham had been held captive by King Verger even before he'd stolen the crown, kept for the man's own sick amusement, tortured and alone. As a boy, he'd resolved to kill the man the second an opportunity arose; after so many years enduring King Verger, he wasn't sure if he'd last long enough to see his vow through.
As King Lecter grows bored of the upstart Pig King's antagonizing, Will's opportunity might arise before he loses himself entirely to the man's torment.

Summary
A Hogwarts fanfic I wrote when I was maybe 12 or 13, almost a decade ago, so I'll be honest I have no clue what happens anymore haha. I did a whole lot of research for it back then, had five extra documents of information I'd compiled on stuff like wand lore and spells as well as timelines and canon characters I could or couldn't use, this is what really kickstarted my fanfic career lol
I believe this is set between The Marauder's Time and Harry's Time and the cast is mainly original characters, currently I don't want to hunt through 58 pages for each canon character used, I'm sorry. It's a strangely angsty Hogwarts AU thing I guess.

Pretty much a more depressing rewrite of the TV series honestly, if people really want more I can try and revive this corpse of a fic.

Magnus Bane has been lonely for as long as he can remember, whether or not he was truly alone. He was resigned to heartache century after century, never believing he would meet someone who would fall as fast and deep as he always seems to. Then he met an angel with eyes like the ocean, a man who seemed to be drowning as much, if not more, than Magnus himself, and he thought, "maybe this time he won't leave me."
