The Wodensfang looked up at one of the few trees growing inside his nature- formed prison. There were a few trees- most under a hundred years old, baby trees that would never sustain his weight. He had tried about twelve times and broken about eleven trees. The third final tree survived two attempts.

Among those present who had been saved from the brink, Dogen caught eyes with a boy in a stylish helmet. He raised his goggles, glancing between the squirrels and Dogen, as if ensuring they were real. Letting out a chuckle, he broke into a wide smile and darted from the pack, tossing out his arms.
“Dogen!” Raz shouted, not a mark on him, with only a few hairs out of place.
