Summary
“Um, Shepherd,” Tommy said, “there’s a pink lady in the barn and she says she’s going to rip my throat out with her teeth.”
Shepherd hadn’t moved that fast since Barovia.
— — — — —
Basically the most self-indulgent thing I have written in a long, long time. Fell in love with LoA and Shepherd, plus I’ve tried to play my tiefling three separate times with three different groups of people and all three have fallen apart after like two sessions. So come hell or high water I’m writing her story. Shepherd is just helping out.

Summary
“They found a cage, Sam,” Sharon says. “Or, cell, rather. Empty, but only just recently. Someone had been keeping someone there.”
Sam blinks. Swallows. Nods. “What do we do?”
“You,” Sharon replies, “do nothing, for now. I’m just giving you a heads-up. Whoever was in that cage may have your location. I don’t know if this was some surviving HYDRA cell or some new attempt at reviving them, but be careful.”
Sharon hangs up and Sam immediately turns to Bucky. “What are you thinking?”
Bucky leans forward, elbows on his knees. “Sounds like they were trying to make another me.”
Or: Sam and Bucky’s little stunt in Madripoor may have unleashed something that neither one of them is prepared to deal with.

Summary
Michael officially meets Ella same way he did the first time they met—slapped over and over again with a shoe.
Well, that’s not completely correct. Technically, he meets her when Chloe and Lucifer march him into the precinct, Lucifer flopping down on the detective’s desk chair, and Chloe hisses out, “Ella, this is Michael.”
Ella stares at him for a moment before her expression goes dark; she rips one of Lucifer’s shoes off, and then the beating starts. Lucifer, the prick, pulls his phone out to film.

Summary
On Eden, Alphas are turned into Soldiers and trained to kill.
In the COI, they're used as sex slaves to keep their genetic diversity.
Simon was taken by the COI at 16, and kept until he was 32. Treated like a toy, trained to be submissive and do what he was told, when he was told, or be severely and painfully punished.
When Simon is freed by Ava and her crew, and cared for by Jack, he simply thinks he's being tested one last time. Viewing Ava as his new Jailer and Jack as his Master, he serves them both like he's trained to, expecting punishment rather than the patience they give him.
Healing takes time, after all.

Summary
The convict- Simon.
His name was Simon, and some part of Ava hated that she knew it now because The Convict was a criminal, a murderer - a butcher, some said. But Simon - Simon - was a person, who had parents and had a childhood, and had a voice that shook and quivered and broke as it yelled at her through a shitty microphone - "You sent me to die down here, and you don't even know my name?" - and Simon was clever, and Simon's amalgamated ship of spare metal had somehow moved off their plotted map, and yet he had found the coordinates for the lost SM-8 and had begged her to set him free for it's data.
Simon - the one responsible for the destruction of the Filament Station, the one who's life was in her hands - was an enigma of data versus emotion in her brain.
Simon wasn't talking.
------
OR:
What if Ava got to Simon before the beast found them, and got them both (relatively) safely to the surface.

Summary
« I'll start looking after school. » Grace said. « Can you just tell me what these suppressants are supposed to do so I can already think about it?»
Simon snorted at his question, and Grace looked back at him in surprise.
« I know you're a beta, but come on. » Simon said as though the teacher had just made a dumb joke.
This only confused Grace further, leaving him standing still in their kitchen.
« … I'm a what now? » He said, blinking at Simon.
( Or Simon comes from an ABO verse which is not the case for Grace. Now Grace is left with a lot of questions like : what is an omega and what do you do when your roommate is going into heat ?)

Summary
Grace felt almost lucky his EVA suit was already red- if it stained, there'd be little sign of it- but it didn't make it any less obvious how soaked the thing was getting with what he could only assume was the alien's blood. There was so much of it- an unreasonable amount, really. For a body proportionally so similar to Grace himself- and the alien really did look almost like a human- he couldn't imagine surviving that much blood loss.
But the alien sputtered, choking, twitching, and as Grace frantically called for him to give any indication he could hear them, he reached out just slightly. When Grace pulled him to his feet, he stumbled, sputtering and spitting up blood. Clearly, he was stronger than Grace expected.
"I've got you," Grace said, as confidently as he could as the alien gurgled and groaned incoherently, making sounds like cries of pain. "You're gonna be okay."Bookmarked by FalconEye
