Being a beta would explain some of Johnny’s attitude towards him. Maybe he feels like he has to prove himself. Maybe he feels threatened by Gheorghe’s status. Gheorghe doesn’t throw his weight as an alpha around lightly, but he will put Johnny in his place if need be. Just because Gheorghe is a guest on the Saxby's property and a hired hand for their business doesn’t mean he will put up with Johnny slagging him off.
