    To be honest, the only good thing to come out of this scenario is the fact he doesn't have to pay for college anymore. That's a win in his book, because college was going to be very pricey and he wasn’t looking to be thousands of dollars in debt.

    Or course, he was hoping to graduate high school first before going to college, and then maybe go into astrology. And then go into space. If he even wanted to study astrology or whatever you call looking at the stars and whatever NASA does.

    Techno has skipped a few steps somewhere, and is now at the finish line before he has even started. Which is to say, he's currently in space. Further than even the moon, like Techno now has bragging rights for being the first human to ever venture out further than the moon. He’s never wanted these bragging rights, he's not even all that interested in space and those floating chunks of space rocks.

    The story starts on what should have been the end, where the hero sacrifices himself and saves the day, and the world moves on as loved ones mourns his death. But his family refuses to let him go. In some timelines, it works and he makes it home. In this one, however, Leonardo Hamato finds himself in a strange new world, where superheroes and monsters co-exist. He knows monsters are real, he's met them before. Now it's time for him to meet the heroes. (And what do you mean some of them are his family?)

    Part of a bigger AU but can be read standalone, because it's going to be fully from Rise!Leo's POV and he's an outsider.

    Introducing himself as "Neon", he enters the lives of a strict Splinter and his young sons, becoming a mysterious warrior and an irreplaceable older brother to them.

    Hiding his Ninpo is hard.
    Hiding the fact that he loves these blocky kids just as much as his lost family is becoming downright impossible.
    But will he ever find his way back home?
