But alas for Steve, today was the anniverary of the craziest day of his life. And his anniversary.
Did he consider himself married? No, not really. But technically he was —though maybe not legally, he has no idea— and today was his yearly reminder.
Normally he spent the night sitting on the hood of his car at the quarry, dressed in his wedding suit and as wine drunk as possible on the fancy stuff he only brought out for this occasion. This was the only time he allowed himself to open the black painted shoebox hidden in the depths under his bed.

Grabbing Kevin’s hair from Neil’s vice-like grip, Andrew pulled the man away and moved to spread them open, playing with the soaked, sensitive flesh and kissing their cheek. “Not yet darling, we’ve still got more to do tonight.”

“Wait Wilbur what-” The brunette had already disconnected the call by the time Techno had a chance to question the times. He guesses Wilbur had already flown over and would’ve just shown up and dumped the kid on his doorstep if he refused.
And with that Techno was left to contemplate all of his decisions leading up to this point. Well now, he supposes, that his entire summer would be spent watching a kid that was even more demonic than any of the demons he’d hunted. According to Phil, that is.
Technoblade should never be allowed to make decisions while half asleep.

After a few moments of contemplating giving up - he wasn’t actually going to of course, but he thought about it- he noticed smoke rising in the distance. Fire. Always a good sign when you’re trying not to die of hypothermia. But right after he saw it, he tripped down a hill and directly into a miraculously unfrozen stream, just his luck.
Wilbur felt a sense of dread wash over him, it felt like the entire universe was working against him here. Thankfully, the source of the smoke seemed to be in relative walking distance. It was going to be difficult, but it was decided that he was willing to try his damndest to get there because this was no place for him to die.
As that would be rather undignified.

Summary
Nathaniel has spent years surviving the Moriyama court by enduring Prince Riko’s cruelty and keeping his world as small as possible. Mostly, that means Jean and their promise to survive together. For a long time, it had been enough to get through one day and then the next.
But Riko’s experiments on Nathaniel start to go right in horrifying ways and Nathaniel realizes he only has two choices- break the one promise that has kept him and Jean alive by leaving him behind, or stay and become a weapon Riko can use to destroy the country.

Summary
'At first, he doesn’t register what Andrew’s looking at - just the constant motion of Eden’s swallowing people whole. Then he sees them. Jean and Kevin, off to the side, not quite dancing, not quite still either.
“Huh,” Neil breathes.
Andrew’s expression shifts, tightening in what looks like annoyance. “They’re getting close,” he says, devoid of any emotion Neil could name.
Neil nods slowly, eyes still on the pair. He’s definitely going to have to tease Jean about his crush when they get home. He leans back in his chair, crossing his arms loosely. “I’ll ask Jean about it later.”
Andrew’s gaze snaps back to him. There’s a faint crease between his brows now. “You don’t seem bothered by it,” he points out.
Neil frowns. “I’m not,” he says honestly.
There’s a beat of silence, and Neil wonders if he’s said the wrong thing. Andrew’s expression smooths into something unreadable, but not before Neil catches the way his jaw clenches. His gaze flicks back to Jean and Kevin one more time, then returns to Neil. “Right,” Andrew says.'

Andrew is under the impression Neil and Jean are still dating. Neil, naturally, does not realize this.
