They deal with it in a very normal and healthy way, by shrinking with their own powers and letting the party treat them like a disliked toy to do whatever they want with them. They don't expect how kindly they're treated, instead.

Puzzles earned his forgiveness from him, Toomp, the SMG4 crew. Yet, the eyes on the street still got to him. The whispers, the mockery, the lies.
Or, his worst fear of all, painful truths. They all saw something no one close to him did, and they hated it. One of his lowest moments fresh in their minds, immortalized in that atrocious Puzzlebox.
He wanted to be someone important, someone worth loving. The renowned actor/director/artist/screenwriter he always longed to be.
All it takes is an unexpected reunion, a few stumbles, and just as many tears for him to remember what, and who, truly matters.

Summary
A few weeks or so had passed since WPNZ had his horrible nightmare, and things seemed to return to normal. Maybe even a little too normal. Both he and Puzzles have gotten back into the swing of things, committing petty crimes here and there and robbing banks for fun and profit. After getting stuck in a rainstorm while running away from police however, the two are feeling especially irritated and question if their life of crime is worth all the trouble anymore. While trying to find a dry place to hide, they end up finding something that's anything BUT boring.

From Puzzles’ understanding, the morning after was meant to be spent entangled in each other’s arms, reminiscing about the pleasure they’d shared the night before, laughing and flirting the daylight away in bed. Then, the lovers would run off together, making a life out of their torrid chance encounter, living out their days knowing their love would be enough to subsist on until death did they part.
The rom-coms, the romantic literary masterpieces, the heart-wrenching tragedies pulling through at the last moment for a tearful reunion to the swelling strings of violins; they all taught him just how love should be. Most importantly, that it truly conquered all. As long as there was love, the path would fall neatly into place with heart-shaped stones, leading them to their happily ever after.
Until the script goes up in flames.

And WPNZ wasn’t the main problem, though he was part of it.
It was the igloo part.
You see, only a certain number of people knew what went down between SMG4 and SMG3 in an igloo.
