Summary
When Ilya Rozanov goes down on the ice, the Boston Bears are already moving to defend their captain. No one expects Shane Hollander, captain of the Montreal Voyageurs, to be the one who throws the first punch.
Or: the Boston Bears figure out Ilya and Shane's relationship first-and decide that instead of letting their captain move to Ottawa, they'll just kidnap his boyfriend instead. Shane Hollander would make a better Bear anyway.

Summary
"Oh yeah, I can hold," Shane's voice is much less collected now, pupils wide even as he gives Ilya an incredulous but firm shake of his head.
Ilya wants nothing more than to drop to his knees in front of him and do something about the thick, electric spark that seems to have filled the air between them in the last few minutes. But Shane would definitely kill him if he did; he would definitely—
A different thought interrupts his attempts at reigning himself in, a new wave of desire rushing over him at the memory of another phone call just weeks ago.
Going from their weeks at the cottage to being long-distance between Montreal and Boston for the 2017-2018 MLH Season sucks. Shane deciding to take this stupid phone call during a rare holiday weekend together sucks even more. Thankfully, Ilya has enough evidence to suggest his boyfriend might not really mind if he interrupts said call.
He never expected this result though...

Summary
The Swiss National League doesn’t care about the legendary Hollander-Rozanov rivalry. When the MLH can’t negotiate with the Hockey Players’ Union in time to prevent a hockey lockout at the start of the 2015 season, the Zürich Lions jump at the chance to sign both Shane and Ilya to short-term contracts. For four months in Switzerland, they share a team, a line, a house, and a bed.
Then the lockout ends in January, and it’s time to go back. Back to different countries, cities, lives. Beds.
Reentry is harder than expected.

Summary
Hollander didn't realise that letting his teammates play twenty-one questions about who he was dating would be so intense. Within minutes the entire room of adult men goes from supporting him coming out as gay, to NHL-level detectives. Hollander watches in real time as they connect the dots: Same league... Rival team... European...
"Oh my god is it-"
or
Hollander comes out, gets accepted (I'm choosing to ignore canon) and is then immediately roasted for having the worst possible taste in men (affectionately.)

Summary
Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are solid.
Married. Stable. Established. The NHL’s favorite “we didn’t see that coming” love story turned domestic success.
They have a house. A dog that likes Ilya better. A shared calendar that Shane actually uses.
They’ve learned how to grocery shop without arguing about brands of pasta.
They are, objectively, fine.
Which is precisely the problem.
Somewhere between sponsorship shoots, playoff runs, and arguing over whose turn it is to unload the dishwasher, the fire that once burned hot enough to survive secrecy and rivalry has… softened. Not gone. Not broken. Just familiar.
Comfortable. Predictable. When a league marketing campaign crowns them “Hockey’s Ultimate Love Story” and assigns a documentary crew to follow them around for the season, Shane jokingly tells Ilya:
“Guess you’re going to have to fall in love with me again on camera.”Ilya smirks. “Please. I could make you fall in love with me again in one week.”
It’s a joke.
Until it becomes a challenge.
