Summary
“Why aren’t you rowing?” A voice, coldly accusing, called out behind him. It came as if from someone sitting at the back of the boat. Nicky recognized it, but stayed gazing forwards at the horizon. Dark clouds gathered, blotchy and heavy, as if they were weighing down the entire sky until it sagged against the ocean.
“There’s no point.” Nicky confessed, gentle in spite of the bite in the other’s voice. “I am not going to outrun the storm.”
“‘No point’.” A bitter scoff. “Easy to claim for the man with nothing of his own at stake.”
“We looked for centuries.”
“And I drowned for longer.”
Nicky closed his eyes. The wind was picking up, rippling through his hair and clothes. The boat listed under its force, and the waves were going to undoubtedly follow. Behind him, Quynh stayed silent.
“Ok.” Nicky said finally, quiet acquiescence. “Guide me, and I’ll go on.”
“Row.”

Leonardo's mind is reeling. The Getty boy, Salvatore's figurative spit in his and Regina's and Primo's faces, the others families... he doesn't know where this is leading them. His only thought, as he watches the Capo's back, going up the hills to get the boy and have him killed, is that Primo better know what the fuck he is doing.
