Summary
Cheongsan is content with his life as a Beta. Uncomfortable with the way Alphas and Omegas are oftentimes ruled by their biology, he's grateful that at seventeen, his chances of ever waking up in heat or rut have passed. He can't imagine a worst-case scenario. That's why, when he awakens one morning to a throbbing pain along his lower back, he brushes it off, dismissing it as a simple illness.
He learns a valuable lesson about life that day: No matter how good you think you have it, in a matter of seconds, your whole world can be turned upside down.
