    Summary

After being outed and tripping on game 7, Shane wakes up in a hotel in Saskatchewan - confused and in a body that doesn’t fit him quite right, and his parents sleeping in the bed next to him.

Despite confusion, he decides to do what he does best - go for a run and make a plan while he does it.

    1. It seems to be 2008, the exact day he met Ilya all those years ago
    2. He, possibly, has a chance to fall in love all over again
    3. There is no way in hell that he’ll spend another decade pining and yearning at long distance
    4. He has no clue how he is going to do it - but he’ll make sure Ilya Rozanov will be his, sooner rather than later this time around

Shane returns to the hotel room a bit more with it, and now with a plan. To woo Ilya Rozanov at first sight and to, this time, win the prospect cup. However, a certain russian shaped wrench will be thrown in Shane’s thought out plans.

Married, happy Shane from 2022 travels back in time to his and Ilya’s first summer at the cottage. *Redo fic via time travel plot device
    -------------
Ilya’s mouth fell open a little. “It is 2017 Shane and your father has no idea I am here. I should hide.”

“No!” Shane reached out and took Ilya’s hand. “Wait, if you really think it’s 2017-”

“It is 2017, Shane,” Ilya interrupted him.

He’d forgotten what he was going to say because Shane’s left hand was suddenly in his field of vision. He stared at it, stunned. There was no ring on his finger. There wasn’t even that little tan line that was always there when he took it off. How had he not noticed it was gone? Shane always noticed when his ring wasn’t there. Could feel its absence acutely, whenever he had to take it off which was almost never.

“Ilya when did we first say ‘I love you’ to each other?” Shane asked slowly.

“Yesterday,” Ilya replied. “What is going on Shane?”

Shane sank to his knees on the dock, his head in his hands. They weren't married. His parents didn't even know about Ilya yet. They were still rival hockey players who lived in different countries and Shane felt like his heart was breaking.

    Summary

There was a time when the Hollander and Rozanov Mafia families were allies.

Their sons, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov grew up together with summer parties, long afternoons by the pool, and a rivalry that always felt like friendship. Shane Hollander was the quiet boy who everyone expected too much from. Ilya Rozanov was the son everyone feared and admired.
Shane had been in love with him for years.

    Ilya never noticed.

After five years apart at boarding schools, they meet again in Milan and discover that the boys they once were have become very different men.

What begins as attraction turns into a secret relationship that lasts for years, hidden from powerful families who would never approve.
    Then tragedy strikes.

When Hayden Hollander kills Andrei Rozanov, a brutal feud ignites between the two families, forcing Shane and Ilya onto opposite sides of a war neither of them wanted.

Their fathers already have plans for them.

    Arranged marriages.
    Political alliances.
A future where they are expected to forget each other entirely.

But walking away might be the one thing neither of them can do.

    Summary

“Did you just tell a customer their outfit was structurally unsound?”

    “It was.”

If you ask Shane Hollander, he'll tell you the bar's highball glasses are committing a war crime against sparkling water, your outfit has at least three structural flaws, and no, he is NOT blushing, it's just warm in here, and no, he was NOT staring at the new bartender through the gap in the ficus leaves, he was RESTING HIS EYES, and also, for the record, he doesn't care that the bartender has hazel eyes the color of warm stone in late-afternoon light or that his hands can untangle Shane's knotted fingers like they were made for exactly that purpose. He's a particularly opinionated artist with a sunset to paint. He doesn't have time for this. (He makes so much time for this.)

A neurodivergent artist with the social grace of a startled deer + a bartender with the patience of a saint + a best friend who lives for drama = a love story told in fumbled words, shared sunsets, and the quiet understanding that sometimes the most profound conversations happen without speaking a word.

Or: Shane Hollander has zero filter, zero social skills, and is absolutely in love with the new bartender his mother hired for their family bar

    Summary

Ilya Rozanov’s college life was going smoothly until he received those handwritten letters. Letters that were oddly similar to his own handwritings. Letters claiming to be from his future self.

Ilya could’ve sworn this was some prank that his roommate was playing on him but things got a bit too real when those letters could actually predict what would happen next in his life.

What’s worse was that this "future Ilya" kept telling the current Ilya to save his husband from a big tragedy. Of course, the husband turned out to be the campus’ heartthrob band member, Shane Hollander, whom Ilya has never interacted with at all.

Ilya sighed in frustration, “Hollander, listen to me. I know this is hard to believe but trust me, please. These letters from my future self keeps telling me to save you and-”

    “Okay,” Shane nodded.

    Ilya blinked, “What?”

“I said okay. Whatever it is, I'll trust you.”

Or Ilya got these sudden letters appearing on his desk every night, claiming to be from his future self and telling him to save a certain person called “Shane Hollander”, who turned out to be Ilya’s future husband.
