Wei Ying can't say she's surprised when her husband invites her brother-in-law to spend the week visiting them. She isn't even surprised when she catches them both drinking that first night. After all, she knows Xichen has recently gone through a bad break up and he's taking it really hard. She doesn't mind him finding comfort with them for a few days.
What she's definitely not expecting is for him to take that desire for comfort too far. Or that her husband is in on it from the very beginning.

Summary

"I do not joke," Lan Wangji hissed. "I wish for Wei Ying to be my wife. Instead, Wei Ying taunts me, and laughs at me while stripping down in front of a man that longs for him?"
"I'm a man! A man! I can't be a wife!" Wei Ying cried, squirming in his grip. Lan Wangji refused to let him go. "I can't be! Hanguang Jun is a liar then! I can't be married to you!"
"Why not?" Lan Wangji growled lowly, gripping Wei Ying's wrists tightly. "Look at me, Wei Ying, and tell me that you would not live well as my wife. That I would not see to your every need." He needed Wei Ying to understand that he would provide. That he was not joking. That asking for his hand was merely a formality.
