Summary
Reo shakes his head and says, "It's okay, Nagi. It doesn't matter anymore."
"It does." I care about you. Nagi can't say it. It sticks in his throat and goes back down burning twice as much as it did coming up. He misses being able to look at Reo and have the other boy hear him loud and clear, even through the silence.
(Maybe Reo never heard him at all.)

Reo stiffens. Seishiro thinks that’s the end of their little conversation, but Reo, always adept at extending their stolen moments, barges forward. “And if I disappoint you?”
Disappoint Seishiro? Reo probably hasn’t realized how difficult of a task that is. For him, especially.
“Don’t worry about that,” he says, his breath ruffling Reo’s hair. Reo shivers, almost imperceptibly, but Seishiro notices.
He’s not sure if he’s allowed to reach out. He does anyway.

Wspomnienia znikają od razu, a my znajdujemy się w pustce, w której jest zawsze ta jedna osoba. Może dlatego prawdziwa miłość potrzebuje prób, więcej niż jednej, a kiedy spotkamy się znowu, kto wie, może to właśnie będzie nasz idealny czas?
Reo i Nagi wymazują swoje wspomnienia o sobie, ale i tak się znajdują, ponieważ czy tego chcą czy nie, znajdą się wszędzie i nigdzie.

Summary
Reo’s greatest fear is being a marionette: wooden limbs clacking in predetermined ways, controlled in every sway, only destined to follow someone else's instructions. Then, he meets Nagi, and he imagines cutting away these strings and finally becoming free.
He has to die to realize this isn't the case. That this has never been the case, and that Reo is nothing but a blunt instrument in the hands of fate, meant to guide Nagi to go far from his reach.
It’s okay. If it’s Nagi, then he can bear it.
