Which leaves Mikey... alone.
It certainly doesn't help that his remaining bros get into screaming fights whenever they cross paths with one another—the both of them unstable as they are.
But Mikey had a plan. One that would successfully bring them all together. And the date marked on the last thursday of November would certainly give him a hand. But he's willing to bring his family back together even with the two haunting empty chairs at the table...

Then it strikes him, her comment about sharing dreams, sharing bending, and it’s like he can feel his inner flame roar to life. The fire between them flares.

Iruka blinked, made uneasy by the cold demeanor. He took a step back, only to run up into another of the Kusanin. The man looked down at him without expression, and Iruka's instincts flared with warning. All around them was a nebulous of moving faces, but the attention of the crowd was directed towards the children's parade. Iruka was alone at the edge of a multitude.

Leo knew from the moment Casey breathed in his direction, that he was 110% done with this man. Every word that came out of his mouth, every move he made, every stupid jump straight into the battle plan he made so often Leo was sure the only reason he was still alive was because the devil himself didn't want him back.
The times he bugged Leo during training, snuck into his room, or forced him to hang out.
The times when he got closer and closer to Leo until they were outright touching. The times when he blatantly was staring at Leo.
It all pushed the blue turtle closer and closer to the edge.
And he didn't want to fall.

Summary
Watching Steve sit alone that first day- even with his ex and her new squeeze crowding his table- former King of Hawkins High with his bruised up face and puppy dog eyes, and apparently, knight in shining armor tendencies, Eddie never stood a chance.
It's Jeff, in the end, that finally badgers Eddie enough to let Steve be dragged over to their table- into Hellfire, and Dungeons & Dragons, and hopefully right into Eddie's arms- after Steve intervenes to stop Jeff being harrassed in the halls.
Now Eddie just needs to figure out what he's going to do with all of it.
Aka a hellfire adopts Steve fic, because give the boy some friends (and a boyfriend).

Summary
Eddie’s graduating and ‘85 really is his year. The Lab is in the past and the Upside Down is locked away behind closed gates that will never open again. He’s got two jobs and rock star dreams. Nothing is going to come between him and living the life of freedom he never thought he could have.
Steve is graduating and nothing is what he thought his life would look like at this point. There are a lot of things he wouldn’t give up or change: his friends, the kids in the Party, and Eddie. But there’s a lot he would change, too. His dumb nightmares, the God awful uniform at his new job, and the migraines that have started to really cramp his style.
When it starts to look like things with the Upside Down aren’t as settled as they thought Steve, Eddie, and all their friend are going to find out that predicting the future doesn’t always guarantee a happy ending for everyone but working together just might.
