This was how I think the final season of Stranger Things should have ended.
Have my fix-it fic. Where Henry gets the rescue and the start of all the hugs and love he deserves, Kali, Billy and Eddie aren't dead, Max and Kali are fucking badasses, Joyce gets sense and some fucking care knocked into her, Karen and Ted Wheeler stand on point and Eleven gets her fucking happy future.
Written from Max's, Kali's and Eleven's POV.
As happy an ending (especially for Henry, Kali and Eleven) as I could write seeing as I haven't seen the entirety of the season yet especially the final bit in anything but short videos, clips and gifsets, but I have spoiled it for myself and I know it's gonna be a long hard slog though it.
But all the cast, especially Jamie Bower, deserves all the praise and awards and all that good stuff for carrying the entire thing because God knows this season 5 volume 3 makes for a horrible ending.

He knew a large gate into Hawkins had been opened. He hoped Dustin, Steve and the others, especially his superpowered friend Eleven, found them soon and killed that bastard for good.
But even if they only managed the latter, Eddie would count that as a blessing at this point.
He tucked himself on his stomach in between the two men, covering and curling his wings closely over their forms to try and help them get what little warmth he could and sent a prayer to anything that would listen, that the others managed to save them too.

One day, he seems some kids playing around on his lawn. He decides, against his better judgement since he has no qualms with the poor things, to yell at them.
The kids do not take it well.
