Summary
Twenty eight year old Ponyboy somehow manages to time travel to the year 1965, Tulsa. Just before Darry is about to yell at him for sleeping in the lot. While Ponyboy is now a twenty eight year older in a fourteen year old body, he notices how much different things were growing up. How obtuse past Ponyboy was to not able to tell what was right, and what was wrong. Sure, present Ponyboy isn’t a saint. But he learned. Ponyboy makes it his job to fix all the things that went wrong. Whether it’s Dallas and Johnny’s death, or events that happened after the books time of events.

Future Ponyboy travels back and times and his main goal is to fix everything, but also reflects on his young life.

Pony is on his way home, where he's jumped. Pony falls into a coma and is transported to an alternate reality where Johnny, Dally, and his parents are alive. Everything is perfect.
