It’s Riko who breaks the silence first.
It’s not what Kevin expected.
“You haven’t kissed anyone, have you?”
It’s not accusing. Not curious. Not even his default judgemental tone. Just quiet, easy, seeking confirmation of what he already knows.
Kevin looks over to his outline in the dark, imagining those sharp eyes watching him for a lie.
“No.”
Riko says nothing for a long moment, until he hums thoughtfully.
“I want to try. Come here.” -

His stomach flipped at the way Kevin’s eyes widened, as though he’d been caught.
“Maybe I’m misreading the situation. Please don’t hate me if I am,”
He took a breath through his nose. For courage, or something like that.
“You can tell me off,”
He let one hand rest on Kevin’s knee.
“And we can pretend this never happened,”
Jeremy took another step, officially into Kevin’s space.
Kevin hadn’t pushed him away. Hadn’t even leaned back.

He stared into the grass, taking a few breaths for courage before breaking the silence.
“Did you ever relapse? After that night?”
There was a long pause.

Aaron swallowed the lump in his throat.
And then, with a barely controlled tension in Andrew's voice,
