"Alright, now that Tim's thoroughly convinced us all that he's a living GPS system,” Duke said, chuckling, “let's see what comes next, huh?" He plopped down in a seat next to Damian, nudging him with his elbow.
Damian barely reacted, eyes focused on the list in front of him, his expression unreadable. Duke leaned over to see what was on it.
“Harley Quinn – Presentation Title: Undisclosed”
Duke raised his voice just enough to get everyone’s attention. “Alright, alright, I think we’re ready for the next one,” he said with an encouraging smile. “Harley, you're up.”
Harley jumped up like a spring, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She had her clicker in hand, ready for the chaos to come. The room tensed, everyone waiting for what was sure to be an interesting presentation.
“Alright, gather ‘round, kiddos,” Harley grinned. “You’ve seen me get loud and messy, but tonight? Time for some real talk.”
The title slide flashed on the screen: “Lovers, Liabilities, and Little Red Flags: Why Your Exlovers Should Concern You.”
The room froze for a moment.“Well, don’t just sit there—let’s dive in, people!” Harley announced, clicking the remote with an ominous bounce of her pigtails.

Jason crosses his arms and looks away from Roy, glaring at a hole in the wall. “Whatever. What the fuck ever. Why are you even here. I told you we were done.”
Roy hops over the edge of the couch to take a seat, ignoring Jason’s noise of protest. “Yeah, you sure did. Pretty unilaterally, I might add.” He leans an elbow on the dusty cushion as he looks back up at Jason. “You know, normally when you dump someone, there are two lanes of communication.”
“What,” Jason says flatly. Roy casts a lazy look back towards the kitchen. Jason stands with his hands hanging loosely by his sides, looking oddly stricken. “That’s not–-no. We weren’t even–-” He swallows, hard, and turns back towards the cupboard.
Roy watches him, the tension ratcheting up in his shoulders, the red flushing through his neck, and thinks: Bingo.

Roy Harper decides he will not be broken up with so easily. Especially by a guy he was never technically dating. Jason Todd takes it very well.

Summary
Roy had fatherhood thrust upon him, and honestly, he's terrified. He doesn't know how to be a dad, he doesn't even know if he can be one. At least Roy doesn't have to do this alone- not as alone as he expected. Support from his friends brings the most unexpected bit of help Roy could have gotten-
Jason. Dick's kid brother who seems more than happy to spend every second he can with Roy and Lian. Who smiles when Roy laughs and looks genuinely happy when he's holding Lian. Who cares about Roy more than he should- and who Roy never wants to hurt.
And when he loses Jason, Roy is so sure he has. Sure he should have done something differently, somehow. So when a new face shows up in Gotham, and Roy gets wind of who he might be, he has no choice but to face the reality that Jason still needs him. That maybe he's got a second chance to do right by the kid he loved and simply couldn't.

"—and how is that even POSSIBLE?" He recognized the voice immediately. Tim. And he sounded... not good.
Jason should have left. Should have just aborted the mission and come back another time when Tim wasn't around. That was the smart play. The tactical play. But curiosity was a bitch, and Jason found himself moving toward the sound instead of away from it. He peered around the doorframe and saw Tim in his office, pacing like a caged animal with at least five empty coffee cups scattered across his desk. The kid looked like he hadn't slept in a week. Maybe longer.

Running into Bruce and Tim at said oral surgeon's office? Less fixable.
