Summary
Guy suddenly realizes that he’s still got his arms wrapped around the back of Jasper’s neck. He starts ever so slightly but Jasper’s hand at the small of his back tightens, stays him. Guy swallows hard, his gaze searching Jasper’s face. Up close, he sees more of Jasper’s age, the lines around his mouth, the crow’s feet at his eyes, marks of years lived. Jasper has kept well, handsome, dignified, but even by the kindest of measures, he is still more than old enough to be Guy’s father.

“Guy,” Jasper starts to say, and he looks– Jesus, he looks worried. What an expression on that face, worn by time yet still so fucking handsome, filled with so much arrogance once upon a time. Guy remembers it distorted with rage, with fury, with disdain and condescension. He thinks it’s burned into his memory, a forever overlay, except he can’t conjure up any of it right now. He doesn’t want to forget; he shouldn’t forget. But that’s just who he is, isn’t it, always seeing the best in people even when he ought not to, even when he’s been given evidence otherwise.

Summary
The improv is fun. Or it would be, if the charge between them weren't so electric, so fraught with all that's unspoken between them, the tension that had built during filming, went dormant after wrap, now resurfaced once more for this press tour. The break had let Bill delude himself to some degree: it's character, it's immersion, it's believing your lines, knowing your motivation. It's admiration, it's camaraderie, it's even affection. Nothing wrong with any of that. But sitting close to Nick, and then sitting apart from Nick, answering question after question about Guy and Jasper, Jasper and Guy, all that only reaffirms the pull, the draw, the magnetism. It's different, of course – actors aren't their characters – and yet isn't it all the same in the end: a fond-eyed boy who wants attention and an old man who can't keep his hands to himself.
