    “And when will you write those ballads once you’re the king’s consort?”
    “That I’m not worried about. Haven’t you heard, I’m famous? For all we know, King Radovid is a fan.”
    “If you say so.” his companion smiled. Jaskier refrained from mentioning exactly how he knew the King wouldn’t object to his music. “I’ll tell Yennefer to pen and send the proposal then?”
    “Do it.” Jaskier agreed. “And make sure she emphasises my wit and stunning good looks, would you? I want to make a good impression.”

    The war is over, Ciri has taken back Cintra and rules as queen, but things are still uncertain. To secure her rule and acknowledge her right to the throne she desperately needs a treaty with one of the northern kingdoms, and as tradition dictates, it can only be sealed by a marriage between the foreign king and a member of the Cintran nobility. Luckily one viscount turned bard is willing to volunteer himself to keep his niece’s kingdom from crumbling, and perhaps finally get closure on a love long lost in the process.

    Flufftober 2025 Day 10: Set up by friends.

    The war is over. Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri and Jaskier are alive and well in Cintra, which Ciri has reclaimed. And yet, there is no end to the suffering of Albert, Radovid’s royal bard who has to play Jaskier’s songs to him over and over again. Why Jaskier keeps singing about the King as if he was the one that got away instead of just talking to him, or why the King keeps sighing as he stares out of the window, he has no idea.

    All he knows is he needs this to end.
