Summary
“Can I hear you shout, Puddlemere United?”
The man came out of nowhere, yelling into the oblivion as his eyes darted back and forth between Percy’s and the bartender, unable to choose who to focus on. His words were slurring enough that Percy couldn’t catch exactly what he said, but like an unwanted glitch in his system, he knew the call and response by heart.
Thankfully, before he could stutter out an answer, he was saved by a rowdy group of men sitting by a window table who all shouted, “Puddlemere United! Always number one!”---
Or, five times Percy Weasley was too scared to actually speak with his former roommate, and instead did everything but talk to the man face to face, and finally, the one time he did.

Summary
He charged towards the monster, his head pounding, his entire body feeling both as light as a feather and as heavy as a ton of bricks.
Something within him seemed to snap, and not even pausing to think what it could mean, Steve held out his arm and pushed.
Everything blacked out.
Steve pushed with all of his might but felt nothing under his fingertips. He pushed at the air itself–
And the monster seemed to move with it.-
Steve's just trying to get through school, so finding out that alternate-dimension monsters exist, surviving said weird alternate-dimension monsters, and discovering he has some kind of freaky magic was not part of the plan.

Summary
Fitz glances over to look briefly into King Edward VI’s deep brown eyes and finds himself unable to look away. The King is breathing heavily, his hands shaking, and if they weren’t already locked in a heated staring contest, Fitz would think the King was terrified.
His eyes hold no fear, though. He stares at Fitz without flinching, contemplative like Fitz is a difficult puzzle that he needs to solve.
“How can I trust you?” he asks.
Fitz has no response. The King shouldn’t trust him –it's unreasonably stupid– and no average person would.
-
Or: a retelling of Fitz and Edwards's escape from Edwards's evil grandmother, this time told from Fitz's perspective.

Summary
When he’d decided to traverse the borders of the north turret in search of an easy way into the palace, he hadn’t exactly been expecting to see a murder in progress. Much less a murder by defenestration of one King Edward VI.
He watches in the bushes, hiding from as many guards' sight as he can, as the window of the topmost room of the turret is flung open. It's midnight, and so at first Fitz thinks he must be seeing things, but his eyes are rarely betrayed by the dark, even while in human form.
Fitz watches, dumbfounded, as a head pops out from the highest window of the turret and looks down down down to the ground far beneath it. He is unable to look away as the man climbs slowly out of the window. It is dark, yes, but the light from the moon shines bright enough for Fitz to see clearly how much of an idiot said man is.
“What the fuck?”
-
Or: Fitz is a detective, jumps in the River Thames, and questions the merits of defenestration.

Summary
“This here’s the Grand Coliseum, the premiere fighting arena in the whole of the Germa Empire. Power and privilege belong to the strongest, and Emperor Judge has been merciful to you in allowing you scum of the earth to prove your worth here. If you are able to win one hundred matches, you will be allowed to become a citizen of Germa, and you will be freed."
When Zoro gets captured by Germa, he's sent to the Grand Coliseum, forced to fight for his freedom. Sanji, the Emperor's least favorite son, approaches him with a deal: Sanji will give Zoro all the help he needs to conquer the Coliseum, if in exchange Zoro claims the prince as his prize at the end. Will the two make it out of Germa unscathed? Or will their lives - and their deaths - belong to the Emperor?

The cook is… handsy.
Zoro isn’t sure that anyone else on the crew has noticed, and if they have, they don’t seem to care. And Zoro doesn’t care, also. He’s just noticed it. And he kind of can’t stop noticing it.
