"There is an accepted thing between the older tributes that really, Finnick is mentally ill as one would expect given what he’s gone through, and that really it’s more of a surprise that he’s not worse, and that they will keep an eye out for him. The Capitol’s interest in him is getting dangerous again, reinvigorated by him having turned twenty one last month, and he’s seeming to struggle with it. He seems to have taken to throwing up his food when he becomes stressed - not in the way the Capitol do, where they drink something and it all comes up and they go stuff their face more, but clawing at his throat in a way that’s sounded painful when Haymitch has ended up in the same bathroom. Doing that is inconceivable in the districts, where people are starving, but Haymitch understands why being able to reject whatever food is going into his body is probably important to someone who doesn’t get to reject everything else that is going into his body."
