It wasn’t even just physical comfort, although this situation certainly was better than any other he’d ever had in that regard – it was also that he felt like he wasn’t beholden to anyone, didn’t have to watch his back, didn’t have to do anything that made his gut twist. Sure, he had these two dear sweet fools to take care of, but… well, maybe he liked that.
