Summary
An odd tv has shown up in the archives. Any attempts to get rid of it have ended in failure, and it was eventually deemed safe enough to be properly investigated. Thanks to a note on the tv, the archives crew are the ones who will watch whatever's on it. Really though, it doesn't seem that dangerous. All it's showing is some strange blind man- and the entity talking to him.

Summary
When Varian's invention for the Expo backfires, everyone (including the animals) end up somehow switching bodies. Because of this, Varian has to deal with Rapunzel's daily challenges as princess until he can figure out how to fix everything, while Eugene and Cassandra endure many arguments about being trapped in each other's bodies.
Meanwhile, Rapunzel finds out a dark secret while living in Varian's body, and realizes she has to save him from the fate she nearly suffered a year previously (though for him, it excludes magic hair and towers).
How will they all change from this problem, and how will they fix it and save Varian?

Varian's plan succeeds—he uses the magic of Rapunzel's hair to free his father from the amber. However, he doesn’t anticipate that his father won’t wake up once it’s done. Desperate for answers, Varian digs deeper but only uncovers more questions about his father's past, along with an old map that might hold the key to saving him. The catch? He must leave Corona, and Rapunzel has to go with him.
(Basically a rewrite of season 2).

The room was dilapidated, jet black rocks jutting out of the ground like thorns, scattering pieces of the stone floor from where they extended out.
Varian, 18 years old, stared up through the haze of pain at his dad, suspended in amber.

Or: At 14 years old, Varian screws up a teleporter while trying to free his father. Unfortunately, (or perhaps fortunately) he swaps places with himself 4 years in the future.
This has consequences for everyone involved.
