Summary
It’s something he tries not to think about.
Like most of the traumatic events in his life, it’s buried deep in the back of his mind. He only brings it out to pick at it anxiously in the dead of the night, unable to sleep out of the overwhelming fear that something might happen to his father while he’s unconscious. In the middle of the night, the moon hanging high in his bedroom window, he picks. Thinks about her. Thinks about the life he could’ve had if it weren’t for his poor mother losing her mind. Thinks about how the disease is hereditary. Thinks about how long it’d take for him to succumb, to end up like her.
But there’s one part about the whole ordeal that he doesn’t dare think about. A part that he feels if he so much as ponders, his father will wail. He tells himself he made it up, that it didn’t really happen. He tells himself over and over again.
Stiles Stilinski never had a brother.

Summary
Something interesting about me that I never tell people is that I hear voices in my head. At least I think I do. I don’t actually hear anything, it’s not like an auditory hallucination, it’s more like there’s a separate consciousness in my head that’s vaguely following along my train of thought while occasionally butting in to speak its own piece. Sometimes the voice is nice. Sometimes it’s scared. Sometimes, way more often than I’d like it to be, it’s cruel.

Patrick refuses to follow that train of thought and turns to Joe who’s nursing a cup of punch beside him, "Where's Andy?" He asks.
Joe hums and looks around before apparently spotting him, his eyes lighting up for just a second before he starts scowling. "Over there,” He points out, “On the bleachers. With a chick."
And sure as shit there's Andy, making out with some girl Patrick has never seen in his entire life. She's pretty and blonde and she isn't really dressed for homecoming but Andy's abandoned his comic for her anyway. A part of Patrick wonders what it would take to get him to put it down. Andy’s hands are in her hair and her hands are sliding up and down his back and-
Patrick clears his throat and looks away. "At least some of us got lucky," He mutters.
