Rumi doesn’t leave.
She doesn’t want to. Even if she had tried, it would probably have been impossible – Zoey and Mira have positively caged her in, and she doesn’t think there's a way of escaping. She’s basically buried underneath them.
She… she likes it.
The way they don’t seem to shy away from her, the way both of them seem to seek physical contact.
She doesn’t even think that anyone ever hugged her, before she met her team.
And now, she’s here, between her first and best friends – and Zoey keeps burying her head in Rumi’s shoulder, whenever she laughs too much; and Mira’s legs are pressed against her own, and the taller girl absentmindedly grabs her hand every now and then.She thinks she might like it - being held like this.

In which the Honmoon is more than just a shield protecting the world from demons - it is a net, is a connection, it binds souls together and never lets them go again. And it has chosen. “I…” Ari breathed, shifting on the bed. Her inner thighs were slick. “I want to.”
Her eyes flicked to Karlach as the barbarian made a sharp noise in her throat, and back to Shadowheart.
“Are you sure?” Shadowheart asked, and Ari recognized the tension in her jaw—the cleric was holding back. “We don’t want to overwhelm you.”
“I want you to,” Ari replied without thinking, and something primal inside her crowed a victory as Karlach clenched her fists and dropped her head back to lean against the door, and Shadowheart’s pupils blew so wide Ari could hardly see the soft green of her irises.

The woman’s eyes widened, and her hand reached out, not quite touching Rumi, but close. “Not that you’re not beautiful, because wow, you-” She stopped, a look of realisation crossed her face “-I mean, no, wait, no, you are beautiful, but I wasn’t hitting on you, I have a girlfriend-”
Rumi ignored her chest squeezing.
“-A stunning girlfriend, Mira. I mentioned her, right? My girlfriend Mira-” The woman stopped abruptly and lowered her head down into her arms. “Jeez, Zoey, stop rambling at the deaf woman.” It was muffled, but Rumi heard it.
Silenced by grief, Rumi’s world is transformed when she crosses paths with Mira and Zoey, who guide her toward a voice she thought was lost forever.

Mira with Zoey holding her arm in a death grip: Hey, my girlfriend saw you from across the record shop, and we really dig your vibe. Can we buy you a vinyl?
