    Summary

Jaskier could admit to it; he was starting to develop a problem.

He wouldn’t call it a drinking problem, exactly. He’d seen men with that kind of sickness, who couldn’t function unless they had ale lingering on their lips, and he could happily go weeks without ever touching the stuff (even if he’d prefer not to – but life on the road with a Witcher didn’t always bring with it anything other than slightly-muddy water).

It was just that when he did drink, he tended to steal things.

He couldn’t help it! He’d tried to help it. But no matter how much he thought he could recount the nights they spent in taverns, he’d wake up in the morning to find some small thing in his pack; cleaning supplies for his lute, a tiny bottle of the whiskey he liked, a new fine silk shirt. He couldn’t remember taking them, but there was no other possible explanation. They were too tailored to his own desires to be some passing fancy slipping them in with his things and checking his coin purse confirmed that he’d not spent anything near the amount he should have done for some of the things he’d found.

Or, five times Jaskier thought that he was a drunken thief, and one time he realised he wasn't.

    Summary

I read the Witcher books, and Geralt is a sensitive boi about the whole mutant thing. Multiple times he mutters to himself about how THoSe PeoPLE don't think he has FeElings.

So I just really think he'd be charmed as hell by Netflix Jaskier. It would be big 'I've had him for a day and a half and if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this tavern and then myself' energy.

So I imagined what would happen if Book Geralt met Netflix Jaskier that day at that tavern in Posada. (Spoiler he loves him.)

    Summary

His second year with Geralt is as delightful as the first, and he even gets to ride Roach for a week after a tumble leaves him with a sprained ankle that won’t hold his weight. He feels rather like a princess in a fairytale, barely resisting the urge to wave at the plebeians around him while passing by to invite them to gaze upon his delightful self. His noble knight could stand to be a little less scowly and slap-y when Jaskier tries to take the reins for himself, but needs must, and at least Geralt looks the part, with all of that lovely silver hair and his very well-tailored trousers.

Their second year is also when he finally manages to find a key to finding out more about Geralt: his pupils.

(Geralt is the exact opposite of an open book) (Luckily, his eyes say plenty)

Geralt knows that he will not make it this time. He knows he will die there, alone in the forest, and all he can think of is Jaskier, who promised him forever and will be left alone, for all the years of a long-lived creature. He knows he will die, yet he wakes up.

Or. Jaskier loves Geralt very much and he will do absolutely anything to save him. Including tying their souls, their life forces together to keep him alive, by his side. He's stubborn.

    Summary

“Now, give us the bard so he gets what he deserves,” the ochre-tunic guy growls.

“I’m afraid I can’t do that,” Geralt begins, and just as the brothers open their mouths to shout or possibly attack, he adds, “Because my husband spent last night in bed with me.”

Something burns right through Jaskier, catching his breath in his throat for a moment.

“Exactly. What he said. My, uh…,” Jaskier stammers.

“Husband,” the Witcher supplies helpfully, pressing a kiss to the top of Jaskier’s head.
