Summary
Everything is fine. Everything is absolutely peachy fucking keen.
When the night shift calls Dennis in a few hours early, he goes without complaint. He knows how miserable a shift can get without enough hands on deck. But lack of sleep slowly starts to catch up with him.
Dennis Whitaker does not faint. That would be embarrassing. He’s on the floor for perfectly reasonable, perfectly respectable reasons. He does not need a banana bag. He does not need the day off.
He just needs a little bit of sleep.

Or: Dennis has a bad day at work. Robby has Jack pick him up to babysit him at his and Robby’s apartment until Robby gets off shift. When Dennis still can’t force himself to sleep, his Attendings take it upon themselves to tire him out.

A/N, 10 Aug 2026: Look, I’m gonna be straight up. The behind the scenes treatment of women (especially POC women) on this show really put me off the Pitt. I love these characters and I hope to come back to it, but at the moment I have to sit with my own discomfort and decide whether I can actually support the Pitt in any way shape or form.

Dennis is convinced his stalker is escalating. Because suddenly, each shift he’s opening his locker to nameless notes and gifts; and now the echoing footsteps following him home, and the creepy texts he’s been getting, feel like the least of his worries.
Or, maybe Jack and Robby picked a particularly bad time to start leaving him anonymous gifts as they attempt to woo Dennis into going out with them.

Summary
Dennis believes in minor, harmless truths. Little white lies that save everyone around him from dealing with his existence.
But more omega patients start being admitted to the Pitt for the exact medication he's been using. His two alpha attendings keep asking questions they shouldn't be. He's starting to lose track of the lies as the threat of being known grows.
Or I succumb to peer pressure and write a secret Omega Dennis fic instead of growing a backbone.
