He looked at Flins' face again, searching for anything that might indicate the fae's life, even if his face was covered in blood and his eyes devoid of life. He knew it was futile, that there was no rekindling a snuffed-out flame, but he still tried—even if Lauma confirmed the death of the fae. Even if the Traveler explained what happened in a small, broken voice. Even if Columbina guided Varka's shaking hand to cover Flins' lifeless eyes, closing them down.
He swore he heard his heart crack.
OR: something something flins not surviving dottore's attack last minute and he died thinking of varka, wishing to turn back time before the battle to tell him ily and varka grieving him as he lived the rest of his life

Summary
A light frost covered the surface except where Damian had pressed his glove to the glass and wiped it away, taking all of Damian’s thoughts away with it, his mind emptying as his view cleared.
Jonathan.
Damian shakes his head, closes his eyes, forces himself to not rip his domino from his skin to check once more if what is in front of him is real. It can’t be real. It can’t.
Damian opens his eyes and it’s still him. Still Jonathan. Except he is not the Jonathan Damian saw last, laughing in the sunlight at a tailgate party, his arm wrapped around his long term boyfriend Jay. That Jonathan was four years older than Damian, on the cusp of graduating with a degree whereas Damian would only be starting his first.
Except there is a Jonathan in the case in front of him, looking two years younger than Damian, his hair still as curly and unruly as Damian can remember it being when Jonathan was eleven and following Damian around making promises of forever.

A mission goes awry when Damian finds a second, younger Jonathan Kent and rescues him, bringing both the Kent and Wayne families together as they attempt to cope with this new development.

Summary
Kaveh has never met anyone more persistent than Alhaitham. No matter how many times he shows him his sharp spikes, puts up his walls and covers them in barbed wire, Alhaitham always comes barging right through as though his skin were made of diamond. He always finds the weak spots, the places with a little bit of give, and pushes hard enough to crumble Kaveh’s defenses entirely.
It’s infuriating, frankly, that he has no idea what kind of danger he’s in.
A vampire is a monster by definition, some would say, but words have different meanings depending on who's using them.

Haikaveh pirate captain architect au reimagining of how they meet with scribe captain and sheltered Kaveh
Reminder that I started this before the lore and info came out about Kaveh and I didn't have much to work with in the first five chaps or so but don't worry I am making it lore accurate in as many aspects as I can.
Kaveh is from a noble family who has been sheltered for most of his life, he has ran away from his home to peruse his dreams and explore the world on a ship he had designed himself. His goal is to become a renowned architect designer that creates the future of travel for the seas, but many berate him and criticize his works.
Little does he know that he will run into many troubles later on and that his fate will be intertwined with the captain of one of the top fleets in the land of Teyvat. The rumored scribe captain of the seas, many fear the name but many also have never encountered him or seen his face before. Many people say that if you ever were to see his face on the seas during a battle, you were sure to perish that day.
Kaveh finds himself in trouble over and over again with his debts and inexperience while Alhaitham helps get him out every time. Much to his dismay.Bookmarked by localyang
