Summary
Before that night in the Creel House, Steve wrote a series of letters for the Party. “Just in case,” he said when giving the stack to Nancy, hoping they wouldn’t be needed.
More than a year later, Steve is still in his Vecna-induced coma and the Party has read their letters so many times they can probably recite them from memory.

Summary
But then Eddie saw a whole pile of kids get in Harrington’s car, and he overheard Nancy Wheeler say that “Steve was babysitting,” and that image didn’t even remotely align with anything Eddie knew about King Steve “The Hair” Harrington, but he figured he didn’t know much, anyway, and it wasn’t any of his business, when it came down to it.
Eddie thought so little of it, in fact, that he had almost forgotten that she’d apparently been babysat by one Steve Harrington. That is, until Steve Harrington started showing up at the trailer park, picking up Max and driving away, and then Eddie wouldn’t see Max at home again for days on end.
Eddie didn’t know much about babysitting, but he was pretty sure the gigs were more of an hourly thing.

“I think I just threw up in my mouth.” Dustin whispered.

Summary

The prank lands Lord Fife at risk of entrapment with Penelope Featherington and as he races to avoid marriage with the ton’s infamous Wallflower, nefarious plots are uncovered. He may be a Capital R rake, but even he recognizes the wallflower is undeserving of the family and fate she’d been dealt.
Doesn’t hurt that the girl’s hidden beauty caught his attention.
In the course of the battle against a conman, he discovers a shocking truth that unravels his plans and launches him in a direction he never fathomed.
