Thomas hums consideringly as he looks the new arrival over from nose to tail. “You’re new to town. Come to pay your respects?” He grins, sharp and fierce. “Smart move. We’re pretty laid-back around here, but I do like it when I get the appropriate deference.”
The grey cat flicks his ears, amusement in his eyes. “Come now, don't you recognize me?” he says in a teasing tone, tail high and twitching playfully. “It’s barely been a week since my last visit. Surely you haven’t forgotten me already.”
Thomas stares in wide-eyed shock because he doesn’t know this cat but he does know that voice. “Edwin? What the fuck happened to you?”
