Reo's frozen, a polite smile plastered on his face.
"... Sorry?"
Nagi wants to say something about the toilet flushing and spiralling water and how Reo's eyes are similar with how hypnotizing they are and—and Nagi realizes that one, explaining all this to Reo would be too much of a hassle, and two, maybe a fucking toilet was not the best thing to compare to Reo's eyes.
"Nevermind," Nagi mumbles.
Or: 5 times Nagi tries different ways to flirt with Reo (spoilers: none of them work) and one time he succeeds. Kind of.

"I think we can be nice to each other now," Nagi says. Reo keeps his gaze fixed on the wall. "We're good now, right? It's been long enough."
Long enough for what? For Nagi to stop being listless? For Reo to forget what it felt like to kiss Nagi between classes in high school? Some things will never change no matter how much time passes, and he wants to say so, but he makes the mistake of looking over and there's an odd glint in Nagi's eyes and all Reo can do is go limp and murmur, "If you really want to, Nagi."
He's weak to Nagi. That's something that won't change either, he supposes.

He did wait long. At least by his standards. However, that wasn’t what he answered. In fact, he didn't answer at all.
Nagi looked up, ignoring his game for a moment, and, indeed, the person in front of him wasn’t Isagi. It wasn't his voice, and it certainly wasn't his appearance.
Why is this guy talking to me as if we had planned to meet..? Nagi had never seen this guy before, that's for sure. If he'd seen that face, those eyes, that hair, he'd remember. Wait a second. Is this Isagi's doing? He has been insisting a lot lately that I should meet new people.

Sure, he’s not on-the-cover-of-Vogue-dead-drop-gorgeous, but he’s wearing an oversized sweatshirt with a little dinosaur stitched over the heart and his eyes are a really pretty shade of gray-slash-gold-slash-maybe-gray-gold and his mouth is twisted into a small frown as he thumbs at his phone repeatedly. Summary
“Try to use me,” Zantestu tells him upfront. The emperor chuckles sinisterly, his purple eyes flashing in delight. An offer of an alliance from Zantetsu was music to Reo’s ears. That's exactly what he wanted. After all, wasn’t this relationship beneficial on all sides? This played to his strong suit, knowing how to utilize others for his end goal was his forte.
Abiding by the emperor’s rule does not end in tyranny, it is simply a give-and-take transaction. The reward for cooperation comes with successive results - results that benefit all.
“Ok. This will be a win-win relationship,” Reo grins wickedly, perhaps already seeing the prospect of his incoming investment a mile away, the sly bastard. Zantestu somehow feels like he just sold his soul to the devil.
Reo is a clever schemer, he holds his cards close to his chest, using his pawns as another chess piece on his path to success. The fact of the matter is simple: Whatever Reo wants, Reo gets.

Nagi stared at the food that Reo was munching on, and Reo stopped short when he noticed. “Nagi, do you want some?” he asked, casually giving his food to Nagi with his fork. Nagi opened his mouth, telling Reo, “Feed me,” and to everyone’s surprise, Reo scooped up more of his curry rice to feed Nagi while patting his head.
Nagi was a tough and intimidating competitor in Blue Lock, but seeing Reo feed him now made him look more like…a puppy. A sleeping lion. Reo is amazing.
Isagi thinks he’s going to lose his mind if he witnesses any more of these two like this.
