Dennis stared at him. His antennae were doing something complicated again, the tips curling in a way Robby had learned to associate with deep, complicated emotion. “You’re going to carry me.”

    “Yes.”

    “Like – like a – ”

“Like a backpack,” Robby said firmly. “Or a child. Or a very large, very attached moth. Which you are. I don’t care. We’re doing it.”

or dennis latches onto a candle jar like a sticky note, and demonstrates exactly why the phrase “like a moth to a flame” is not merely a poetic suggestion but a biological imperative

    Summary

[THIS SERIES IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION] - Due to some things I’ve decided to change this series will be changing and as such I may be reordering things/rewriting things. I will try and share when this occurs.
An alternate universe where Jack Abbot, Dennis Whitaker, and Michael Robinavitch are all roughly the same age, and a slow-burning series of them falling in love. It’s 2008, and all three men are far younger than in the show. You’ll understand. Despite that, all our favorite characters are still present and accounted for. For a basic understanding, Robby is 26 and an MS4, Jack is 24 and an MS3, and Dennis is 20 and an MS3. Dennis is a trans male in this.

    Summary

In 1689, Hob Gadling and Dream meet once more, after Hob has lost everything. That night, their meeting goes on longer than expected when the conversation turns to what it means to live, to lose, and to be the fathers of dead sons. Unable to bear the thought of sending a man who so echoes Dream's own grief back into the night alone, Dream breaks his own rule and invites Hob to stay with him for a time, at least until he can get back on his feet.

The story of two grief-stricken, divorced, and widowed fathers to sons they lost too young truly seeing one another and there, at their lowest point, doing their best to put themselves and each other back together.

In the upcoming sequel, "Keeping Sanctuary" we follow Hob and Dream from 1690 to the modern era, and see how a small change to one centennial meeting would alter their lives forever.
