Summary
It started beneath a cherry blossom tree, early into spring. Just as the soft pink flowers began to bloom. Two young boys played beneath the Sakura tree. It had been less than an hour since the two arrived in the garden, yet both were already covered in dirt.
“Gary— Gary look! What Pokémon is that?” The smaller of the two shouted in glee, practically vibrating from where he jumped up and down. A pointed finger was extended in the direction of the beautiful Pokémon that fluttered through the air.
“I don’t know Ash, but it sure seems pretty!” The taller boy’s eyes were wide as he watched the Pokémon. The Pokémon in question stopped in the shade of the tree, happily chittering at the two children staring at it. It’s white wings made a soft breeze that shook some cherry blossoms off their branches. Cascades of pink and white flittered to the ground, surrounding the two young boys.

This was posted months before the truth about Wilbur Soot came out. I’m leaving this fic up because it was part of whumptober and a nice memory of what the QSMP used to be. I however do not support that man in any way shape or form. He is a monster to one of the highest degrees. Always support victims!!! And a small reminder that Shubble was not the only person this man wronged or hurt.

AGHHH GOD THIS WAS JUST A WORK OF ART. The way each different Cheng Xiaoshi carried a piece or repeated dialogue of another Cheng Xiaoshi was so so haunting and made every time he died hurt so much more. I LOVE the choice to write this fic for Cheng Xiaoshi’s perspective for that reason and also for the final Cheng Xiaoshi who didn’t really know the other versions of himself that the reader and Lu Guang got to meet.

Wei Wuxian gets caught sneaking into Cloud Recesses.
But since he can't tell the truth - that he's just here to deliver his teacher's most recent love letter to her soulmate who's stuck in a cave - he tells a lie instead. He says that he's a Jiang disciple that had arrived late and so had snuck in through the gates. He hadn't expected the lie to work, sure that it would unravel as soon as they found a Jiang to verify it, but instead Jiang Yanli backs up his story, and even adds to it.
Which is how he ends up masquerading as the first disciple of Lotus Pier while trying to figure out how to get out of Cloud Recesses without anyone discovering that he's the disciple of Baoshan Sanren.
