Once upon a time, when he’d been a Seoul National University finance student, and his ever-changing traits were named ambition, someone had warned him, had nuzzled their cold nose into his cheek and tugged on the strands of his damp hair with dainty fingers. He didn’t listen, did not care to listen, not when he was more focused on pulling the other down by the neck to crash their lips together, greedy while his ex-boyfriend had burst into a fit of giggles. An otherworldly sensation, the way Yeonjun's plush lips would clash with the cold metal ring on the other's soft mouth.
“It'll catch up to you, hyung. You are too stubborn. It'll catch up.”

“It’s 2020, right?” The man suddenly asked, glancing back at him. “I’m guessing from the hair,” he added with an awkward grin, his chin tipped toward Yeonjun’s cotton-pink head.
“Yeah…” Yeonjun replied, frowning ever so slightly. Then, he almost choked on his own saliva, “wait–” he cleared his throat. “Are you saying you’re from another year?”
“Well, duh.” His older version chuckled, playfully. “Was I really this slow?” He asked, but he didn’t even sound mean, just genuinely baffled by Yeonjun’s stupidity. Somehow, that stung more.
In late 2020, while preparing for the approaching release of Minisode 1: Blue Hour, the previously quiet TXT dorm received a very special visit from no one other than Choi Yeonjun from 2025.

Beomgyu was Yeonjun's first -- first love, first kiss, first everything. But they broke up almost three years ago after Yeonjun left to study abroad, and now Beomgyu is getting married. It's fine; Yeonjun can handle anything if he sets his mind to it. Even a bachelor's trip with the best friends he hardly speaks to anymore; Beomgyu's new fiancé; and the surge of feelings he thought he'd long since repressed.
Because if they were meant to be together, it would have happened by now, right?
