Summary
Rumi sits hunched forward with her elbows propped on her thighs, staring down at her clasped hands. She catches movement at the edge of her vision and looks up at the same time as everyone else in the hospital’s waiting area. They all collectively hold their breath as a woman wearing scrubs approaches, but she passes between a set of double doors without speaking to anyone. Everyone settles back uneasily in their chairs and Rumi hangs her head, pulling the hood of her sweatshirt just a little tighter around her face. It’s only been three months since Huntrix debuted and this is the last place their fans would expect to see them, but she doesn’t want to risk getting recognized. The idea of signing an autograph right now makes her want to throw up, and she couldn’t bear answering any questions about why they’re here. But so far, no one has paid any attention to her or Zoey, letting them blend into the dozens of other anxious family and friends waiting for news of their loved ones.

A few weeks after Gwi-Ma’s defeat, Rumi wonders if she can truly consider herself brave. She fights hordes demons and performs in front of huge crowds without a second thought, but being open with the people she loves most scares her so much it feels impossible. As she works to understand what she’s really afraid of, she realizes Zoey and Mira have two questions for her, asked patiently, subtly, softly, until she’s finally ready to face them:
Are you brave enough to love us?
And are you brave enough to let us love you?

Safi learned a long time ago that it was best to be whoever everyone around her needed her to be and that holding onto things just made it that much harder when they were finally taken away. That’s why when she first met Max Caulfield, she only thought of her as a project—someone she could help out of their shell, starting with getting her to finally ask out the bartender she’d obviously been crushing on.
So why does it bother her so much when Max starts spending more time with Amanda than her?

During the Storm, Caledon experienced Safi’s emotions. Everybody felt her rage, her grief, her memories, as well as the two converging timelines pressing down on them.
What nobody realised was that this was a two-way street. Safi could feel and see just as much of everyone as they could of her.
Which would not have been so much of a problem if there was not also a shard of her inside Max Caulfield, who happened to stumble across a familiar nightmare within the chaos.
Or: Safi learns about the darkroom. As expected of someone who jumped from wanting to commit suicide to god/monster complex in the span of one time-storm, she does not take it well.

A warmth Max had forgotten about until the day they met. A warmth that Chloe had first brought into her life, before ripping it away again the day she left.Max wishes things would be different.
