“I want you…to join me”

“Will?!” the party collectively exclaims, devastated to see Will standing in front of them. Arm and hand stretched, fingers spread and shaking in a strained manner. He was holding Eleven against the wall, slowly choking her as she struggled, trying to free herself out of Will's agonizing grip.
“Will! What are you doing?!” Lucas screamed in anger and betrayal. Will just ignored him, tightening his chokehold on El. abruptly, Eleven spoke. “Will.. you don’t have to do this..you have a choice..” she blurted, gasping for air.
“What?” Will murmured, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. “I said… you don't have to join henry.. You have… a choice. To stop and come back to us…” El sounded like she was almost begging for him to come back.
Will felt hot tears stinging near his eyes, but he couldn't give into her pity. “What if I want to join him?” He threatened bitterly, Tilting his head to the side in a rebellious way.
“...what??” Mike spoke, eyes widened.”Why on earth would you want to join him?!” Will snapped his neck at Mike, eyes narrow and full of hatred. “I don't know Micheal. Maybe because I’ve been ignored and pushed away my entire life. Thrown out of my childhood, been called slurs, I’m the one who has dealt with all this pain. And NONE of you guys cared to ask if I was okay! It's always ‘ohhhh eleven that, ohhh eleven this, ohhh eleven!’ It's never ME. What if I told you I've had powers for MONTHS!! And everytime I tried to tell someone, they were always busy.” Will raised his tone a couple octaves in fury, eyes watering.”Will I….” Max started, face full of shock and guiltiness. He threw down Eleven from his grip, dropping to his knees and to his hands.
“El!!” Everyone came rushing over to El, making sure she was okay… except Jonathan. Mike helped her up, checking for major wounds. “THIS is what I mean!! I've had these nosebleeds, and headaches, and nightmares for days! And none of you guys noticed!! What about ME?” Will exclaimed, sounding broken, voice extremely wobbly. He pointed at his chest, white hot tears were falling down his cheeks rapidly.
Everyone looked back at Will. “I don't know why I even try anymore, I won't ever be good enough, NEVER. Ever since my mind flayer episodes, I've been forgotten. It's like all of my trauma is suddenly El’s!” He lashed out, swinging his arm sharply.
Henry's voice rang through Will's head, he perked up in alarm. “Get to the point, William. Bring Eleven to me.” ‘Vecna’ The others put together. Without warning, Will's pupils dilated. He started to tread slowly, making his way to his younger step-sister. “NO!” Eleven screamed in terror, stretching her arm out swiftly.
She threw Will into the ground, the slimy, thick line choking him. He gasped for air desperately. Quick, memories flashed through him. Memories of Mike and Will meeting on the swings, memories of playing in castle byers with his mom, memories of sneaking into the movies with the party, memories of building castle byers with Jonathan, memories of halloween, memories of listening to music with his older brother… He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t betray his friends like this. Will sighs, and stops struggling, vines snaking off of him. He gets up, drifting to a portal that leads into vecnas lair. Before sweeping his feet into the portal, he turned his head to look at everyone. “I can’t do this, I can't betray you guys like this.” He turns away from his friends, walking into the portal. “WILL!!” they all exclaim in panic. “No.” Mike whispered under his breath, running to the portal with him. “MIKE! COME BACK!” Nancy screamed, frightened for her little brother. Then they all ran after Mike, hoping to save him.

Once the ravenette entered the portal, he looked around frantically for his best friend. Only to find him in front of Vecna, about to get killed. “Will…” Mike whispered in devastation at the sight. Will chuckled coldly, despite the claw that's above his face, ready to attack at any given moment. Suddenly, Will's hand discreetly stretched, throwing Venca against the wall swiftly. Will walked away from Henry, hand shaking violently. Vecna struggled against the wall, tossing and turning under the pressure of Will's abilities. His shriveled skin started to produce gray smoke, a burning sensation fluttering in his chest and in his legs. “You caused me all this pain, it was YOU. all this time. It was YOU. I hate you, I hate you so much. I'm going to kill you for good, if you won't end my suffering, I'll end it myself. I hope you feel this through all of your stupid flesh like i did as a kid.” he stated, voice shaking with pure anger. Will was seeing red at this point, he found burning 001 slowly was like itching a scratch he never could. This was heaven, he loved how Henry's jaw dropped as both screamed in agony and power, chest opening up in a hole of light, like a portal to the afterlife or something. It was so fascinating watching his rival disintegrate under his control. Will was hit with a wave of exhaustion, this time it was different. It was definitely different, he felt as if he could fall asleep forever, like if he were to close his eyes, it would be…over.
Will slowly walked over to Mike, collapsing into his arms. Mike held him tightly. “Are you okay?! Will! Will open your eyes!!” the raven haired boy frantically asked, trying to hold him up, wiping the blood off of Will's eyes gently. Mike felt tears stirring in his eyes as Will's breathing slowed down, eyes closing and opening. “Mike….” Will began to mumble weakly. “Will?! Yes, it's me! Are you okay?!” the curly haired boy bombarded Will with questions. “Can I tell you something before I go…?” He asked, getting ready to fall into a deep slumber. “Nono, you're not gonna go anywhere. I can't lose you again Will.” Mike insisted, voice trembling at white hot tears streamed down his face. “Mike, it's okay. It has to end at some point.. I…” Will started, coughing softly. “I want to say that I love you. I love you so much. I've loved you since the day I met you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I just wanted to wait for the right opportunity. And I guess this is it.. Right?” he smiled watery, looking Mike in the eyes, holding his face. “Will i….i love you too.” Mike replied back, running his hands through Will's hair. They both go in for a kiss when…
Will's hand went cold, and dropped from Mike's face. “WILL!!” Mike yelled, sobbing even more intensely now. “Will.. Will please wake up… Will!! Will please! You can't leave me!! Please!! I need you!! Will….” Mike choked on sobs. Hugging the limp boy, kissing his cheek before saying..
“I'm so sorry Will…”

“Mike!” Steve hollered out, waiting for an answer of safety. All at once, they spotted Mike sitting down, hunched over, he seemed to be holding something, someone. “Mike?!” Steve called once again, jogging over to the boy.
“I'm sorry Steve…I..” Mike tried his best to explain, but before he could, he burst into more tears. Steve pulled him in for a hug, putting his face in Mike's hair. The others walked up to the two, wondering what's going on. Their questions were quickly answered when they saw Will on the ground, limp and pale. Eyes opened and glossed over in a sickly way. Eleven put her hand over her mouth in shock, tears beginning to form in her eyes. “no.. please.. Will..” Jonathan blurted, running over to his brother.
It can't be, he can't be dead right? He’s Will, he’s tough! He can survive this, right? Jonathan thought, panicking when he felt his heart unresponsive. Nancy walked over to her boyfriend, rubbing his back in sympathy. “I'm so sorry, Jon.” she softly comforted.
This was awfully like the lake again, this was too familiar to the day at the quarry.
At least vecna is dead, right?
