“What the hell are you talking about? My spit does not have any sort of flavor or evil tang! What the fuck!” Mike shouts. “There is no taste. It would not be that bad, you wouldn’t be able to tell a difference. Lucas would’ve been fine.”
“Literally no one here would be fine with drinking your spit,” Lucas gestures to everyone, requesting back up.
“I would rather still be in a coma than drink your spit,” Max says.
“I would rather die of dehydration than drink your spit,” Dustin declares.
“El kind of used to,” Mike points out.
“Yes, used to, and now I know what good kissing is,” El remarks. “I never want to come in contact with your spit again.”
“Well Will wouldn’t mind!” Mike blurts indignant with everyone ganging up on him. Will freezes, laughter dying and color creeping up his face.
Or, Mike is jealous so he decides to spit in Carlton's drink. Inspired by Rina in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Season 4 Episode 4, Trick or Treat, where Ricky spits in Mack's drink for talking to Gina.

Summary
His Mom smiles at him with a knowing look, and Jonathan has an arch to his brow like he wants to ask more – but before either can, there’s the sound of a thud.
Will’s smile falls into his stomach. It wrenches with fear, with horror.
All three look to the entrance of the lounge, the direction of the thud.
“Shit,” says someone out of sight, just beyond the entrance, almost too soft to catch.
Will’s blood runs cold, because he knows that voice, knows the specific lilt of it.
“Mike?"
Or, Will comes out on his own terms, to the two people who truly matter - and is overheard by the one other person who means the most. In wake of the revelation, they decide to split off and take the final battle with Vecna into their own hands, all while navigating the undeniable pull that grows between them.

Summary
He doesn’t have to justify it or ground it in reality, he just knows it to be true before he opens his eyes. Will.
“Why are you…” Mike trails off, his eyebrows draw together as he takes in the face hovering above his, “…me?” He genuinely is perplexed now. Not shocked. No, Mike thinks his ability to be shocked is probably zero at this point given the state of his world. But he’s definitely confused. The boy above him looks on in horror and disbelief. Although the face is certifiably, completely Mike’s face, the expressions and eyes are easily identifiable to Mike as belonging to Will Byers.
OR
Mike and Will get FreakyFriday-ed but with more angst and yearning. Post season 5 volume 1, with some artistic liberties with canon + a sprinkle of s5 v2 rewrite
