Summary
“I want you to take a close look, because if you try to leave. I will mount Mike’s head right here in place of this deer.” Vecna points to the mounted head in the middle of the room.
Will’s whole body is trembling.
Vecna stares at him longer than is polite or comfortable. He nods, satisfied with Will’s response, then breaks back out into an arrogant smile.
“Let me show you your new home.” Vecna croons as he pulls on Will's arm.

Summary
"To clarify, since last night,” she emphasized, “You've had seizures, been burned alive by proxy because you're still connected to the hive mind, unlocked latent psychic superpowers just like your step-sister–" She glanced back at him briefly, "Who you then found out isn't your step-sister, but your actual half-sister because you share a psychic superpowered father– who just so happens to be the serial killer that your sister banished to another dimension."
Will made a sound that wasn't quite agreement and wasn't quite protest. She took it as confirmation and kept moving.
"But–" She continued, stepping over a root, "Somehow, everyone knew about this before you–" She stepped over a root "– so Mike fucking Wheeler dropped the bombshell that you were really supposed to be another lab experiment like your sister, and you've been lied to your whole life."
The footsteps behind her halted.
Max turned to see Will looking utterly exhausted as he considered her words for a moment before he mustered a languid half-shrug.
"I'm kind of having a rough day," He admitted with a weary sigh. She shot him a brief, disapproving look. He graciously accepted it with a wry tug at his lips.Series

Summary
It's 2012. Will Byers and his family have just moved to Hawkins, Indiana and he is just about to start his first day of sophomore year.
The only problem?
He has to find a way to navigate life in a small conservative town while hiding the fact that he is both transgender and gay.
Will can surely do this. I mean, there can’t be much to it. Right?

Summary
"I have Ms. Kelly today," Max says, almost bitterly. "You'll be okay at lunch without me?" she says it sarcastically, like a joke, but there's an undercurrent of something else in her voice; for a moment, she almost sounds scared.
Will releases her hand, even as they walk out of the gym doors together. "Works out for me," he tells her, "I have that project for art I have to finish up anyways." He pauses, hesitates. "Will you be okay without me?"
Max takes a breath, and then gives him a shaky smile, one that doesn't quite reach her eyes. "I'll have your tape," she says, wiggling the wires of her headphones. "See you after school."

Summary
eleven moved around the corner of a collapsed wall, and stopped.
there was a boy was tangled in the vines, half on the ground like he’d fallen straight into their grip but the vines weren’t reacting. they lay slack against him. loose and unmoving, like they were a regular piece of environment.
it was almost like they didn’t know he was there. el’s chest tightened. he looked up at her, wide-eyed, breathing hard, and had fear written all over his face.
he was small. too small. he had dark hair. a dorky bowl cut. clothes clean—but wrong for this place. pajama pants. a white shirt. like he’d only been here for minutes, not years.
“what is this?” he said, voice shaky. “where am i? who are—”
el didn’t answer right away. she just stared, because she knew that face.
