It was as if lava had poured down their bond. Both Tommy and Wilbur went down with a scream, desperately trying to cut their bond, but it was too late.
By the time the lava cooled, and all the hunters were taken down, there was no magic to be called upon. As if the lave had turned to bedrock right in their core. As if all of their magic was hidden away behind unbreakable stone.
“Tommy,” Wilbur had gritted, jaw tight and eyes hard with anger. “What did you do?”
Bad luck, the card had said. Bad luck.
Tommy hadn’t proved himself. Tommy had embarrassed himself, Tommy had ruined Wilbur’s magic.
And it was all Tommy's fault.

2319 doesn’t move as two people walk in. One is a handler; the blonde one that let it watch television once. The other one is a stranger; a tall, thin man with dark hair. He’s wearing a suit, and he is unarmed. It could kill him within a few seconds, it thinks. Choke him out, probably. It is tall enough to be able to get its arms around his neck, and he doesn’t look strong enough to throw it off.
“Holy shit,” the man says, staring at it. It doesn’t move. It trains its eyes on the far wall instead. This has happened before; people coming in to stare at it. It’s not allowed to be upset about it.
“That's a fucking child," the man says, and it does not frown, because it has better training than that, but it wants to, a bit. It is not a child, it is the biggest fucking Weapon in the labs.

The mumblings grew louder the closer he got until he came to the room they originated from. A small figure is curled up against the wall, taking up a sliver of space in the vast, ornate room.
An angel, Wilbur realizes, if the fluffy white wings shielding a face are anything to go by. One of his… subjects? Wilbur had never been too sure what to call them. He mainly just considered them under his care, but it’s a bit more complicated than that.
Regardless, it’s concerning to see such a tiny angel alone in a place like this.
“Hello?” Wilbur asks, his voice echoing throughout the chamber, making it much louder than he intended.
The singing stops, and the angel looks up to meet his eye, staring at him with the face of a child. Blue eyes widen impossibly, the angel almost shrinking in on themself.
“What are you doing here?” He tries, crouching to be more level. The angel—the child—keeps a curious gaze on the god but makes no move. Something tugs at Wilbur’s heartstrings. Such a small being shouldn’t be alone.
OR Wilbur is a lonely god and finds an equally lonely angel named Tommy and family ensues

Techno hums, his hands slowly unwrapping from around his neck, though one lingers. He pushes his chin up with one hand, trialing a finger down his neck with the other. Tommy shivers at the touch, being reminded that the guy in front of him is a fucking vampire.
“Who, little witch?” He croons, goosebumps running up along his arms as Techno stops at his pulse point, no doubt feeling how fast his heart was beating.

"I think that's the point," Techno said, "If you're forced to stay together for three weeks, you're bound to walk out either hating each other more than before or with an understanding of the others. They're hoping that it's the second one."
"I'm gonna walk out and their bodies will be at the bottom of the lake," Tommy mumbled.
"Please don't murder them."
Or,
Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo have hated each other for their entire lives. When this decade long rivalship comes to a head on the last day of their sophomore year, resulting in a three way fist fight in the middle of the cafeteria, they aren't shocked when their parents decide that something needs to put a stop to the insanity.
They're all pretty sure that getting exiled to an isolated cabin together in the middle of the woods for the first three weeks of summer wasn't a normal punishment, though.

The night Tommy disappeared, it went like this:
Tubbo screamed the words that became his goodbye. He can’t accept that Tommy is gone, because that would be accepting that the last words they exchanged were angry and intended to hurt. So he doesn’t accept it. He’ll search for years if he has to.
Techno let Tommy leave without so much as trying to stop him. He’s replayed the memory of that night and wished he’d done anything else, until he thinks the guilt might be enough to destroy him. He thinks he might already be on his way there.
And Quackity can’t help but feel like this is all just a bitter echo. This town is cursed, and Tommy is only its latest victim.

He glanced up again, and this time his eyes caught on the TV playing in the corner of the cafe. The volume was turned down, but Wilbur read the headline and found himself forgetting all about the drawings on Tommy’s jacket.
Coven cleared of all legal suspicion for recent Turning
The captions were on for the TV, and while they weren’t very accurate, Wilbur tried to read what the newscaster was saying anyway.
”The Turning was ruled by a judge to be an act of the Good Samaritan Law, and no criminal charges will be brought to the vampire or his coven as a whole.”
or, vampires and humans have coexisted for over a century now, each minding their own business. Frankly, Wilbur barely knows anything about vampires, and he likes it that way. All that matters to him is his bookstore job, his motorcycle, and his best friend, Tommy. It's not like he has any reason to get involved in the world of the undead. That's not his problem.
At least until the undead start knocking on his door, telling him that Tommy is somehow far more involved in the world of vampires than Wilbur could've ever guessed. Then it becomes his problem.
