Where the hell am I? What’s happening?
Shinso can feel his breaths start to come quicker though he can’t hear it. That only makes his chest start to feel even tighter. His head starts to feel light as he tries to regulate his breathing. He feels something brush his cheek, then he hears a voice in the silence.
It sounds loud without any other noise as it says, “Shinso, my dear. What are you doing here? You should never have left home.”
Shinso swallows heavily. The voice sounds just like his mother, but she died years ago, and she always told him to pursue his dreams of becoming a hero.

Summary
The mission was simple. The X-Men are on their way to help with the relief efforts after a terrorist attack on another major city. Recently they’ve been doing everything they can just for the privilege of being allowed to live in peace. Peter’s never been one to back down, or whine about what he’s told to do, but he’s also been one of the two X-Men who have gone on every mission in the last week. Which surprisingly came up to nine in total.
Him and Raven were supposed to have the day off, but this called for all hands on deck. Charles is even sitting across from Peter. As apprehensive as they all were about him coming to the site of a disaster as large as this one, he insisted that his power would be helpful. More specifically he’s planning on keeping trapped victims calm while the others work to get them free. However, they look like a pretty poor lot.

Aris pulls his knees up to his chest, gently placing his chin on top of them. The nurse watches him from the other side of the room. She’s putting together something in a syringe.
“This is for your next test,” she explains softly.
“You mean experiment?” Aris asks, his eyes dark, the light having gone dim years ago.
“No, I don’t. I mean the next test. You always do so well in these, I don’t know why you’re fighting me on this now.”
Aris shrugs as much as his position will allow.

Summary
Tim nods again, heading to the sparring deck. He pulls his hoodie off, tossing it over to his backpack. The cave is typically cold, but he can’t have anything hindering his movement. Bruce walks over a few minutes later, wrapping up his knuckles. Tim frowns, knowing that Bruce has been having more joint problems recently.
“Alright, do you remember the move that I taught you earlier to knock your opponent off their feet?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Do that to me in this session.”
“Ok.”
They start sparring with Tim mostly just avoiding Bruce’s punches. Then he manages to slip behind Bruce, and take out his ankle, throwing Bruce completely off balance. Then Tim sends Bruce to the floor as something beeps behind them.

Charles looks up at Alex, blinking slowly. He looks tired, but Alex still forces him to stay awake.
“Come on, you have to keep your eyes open. We’re going to get you out of here, but you have to work with me,” Alex whispers, and Charles gives him a crooked smile.
“I’mm ssory,” he mumbles, and Alex’s heart clenches.
Alex has to bite his lip to keep the thoughts out of his head in case Charles can still hear what he’s thinking. He refuses to think that Charles is going to die, not when he can still hear Alex think it. Not that he has any way of knowing if he can or not.
This is canon compliant from First Class after Erik and the other left the beach in Cuba.

Summary
Bruce likes to sit down at the Batcomputer, closing his eyes as he imagines the sounds of laughter from Dick first, then Jason. Now it’s quiet, it’s like they were never even there. Everywhere he looks, he sees things that make him think of his children, but he still can’t seem to find any proof of what he lost.
Then one day a child approaches him, tells him that he’s going too far. That he’s hurting people, including himself. He has dark hair, intelligent eyes, and a determined face though Bruce can’t see most of it. He doesn’t look as happy, or as carefree as Bruce’s children would. The way they would smile, and their faces would light up.
He blows the kid off without paying any attention to who he is, or what he’s saying. He goes home to drink for a while before passing out on his bed.

Summary
Peter wakes up to find himself restrained and unable to use his powers in a concrete room. Some of the other X-Men are scattered around the room, all unconscious and restrained too. Peter has no idea how they ended up like that since the last thing he remembers is getting his classroom ready for an activity that he had planned. He was completely alone, moving chairs, and then nothing, not even someone coming into the room with him.
His head is throbbing, and he feels like he probably has a concussion. He pulls on the restraints only to realize that there’s something locked around his arm from the wrist almost up to his elbow. Most of the feeling in that part of his arm is gone, probably from cut off blood flow. He takes a closer look at it without trying to twist his other hand around to probe the area. As much as Charles has been preaching restraint, grace, and not jumping to conclusions, this definitely looks like government equipment.

“I don’t know where your knife is, Dad.”
“Well get your sorry ass up, and look for it! You’re the scatterbrained one that always misplaces everything.”
Sam stands up, puts the gun back together, then places it gently on the bed. He goes into the other room, and starts digging around for the knife. After a few minutes, he knicks his finger on the knife, which was under the bed.
“Ow, shit.”
He grabs the first aid kit before heading back into the other room. He offers the knife to John, who frowns at him.
“You did know where it was! That’s the only way you could have found it that fast. You are in so much trouble.”
Sam ignores him, sitting down to clean his finger, and get a bandaid on it.

Summary
Damian makes it about a mile before the ground starts to shake slightly. Damian pauses, but the shaking only gets worse. Then the ground underneath his feet explodes, and plants fly out.
It knocks him backwards, but he’s still able to catch himself on his elbows. Pain explodes up and down Damian’s arms, but he’s still quick to jump to his feet. He looks around quickly, and plants are everywhere. People are screaming, and running in different directions.
Damian clocks each person in his head, then takes off to find somewhere he can change into his costume. It’s not hard to find somewhere, and he slips his comm into his ear once he does. He hides his backpack with his clothes in it somewhere that no one is going to look for it.
“Is anyone on the line yet?”
“Yep, I’m here, and Spoiler is here,” Tim says. “Batman went to the Watchtower right before this happened. So, he’ll hear about it eventually, and come help. For now though, we’re going to work with what we have, because I can’t reach him over comm.”

Summary
Dazai hums as they both get out of the car. Chuuya tucks the other papers into his backpack, and pulls out his wallet.
“Ok, I have my ID and driver’s license in case he wants to see it. Do you have yours?”
“I don’t have a driver’s license, but I have my ID.”
“Ok, that’s fine.”
Chuuya knocks on the door, and the door cracks open. An old man with bulging eyes pokes his head out. He looks them up and down, then steps out of the building. His stance is defensive so Chuuya attempts a placating smile.
“Mo-” Dazai doesn’t get any further than that before the man lunges forward, sinking a knife into Chuuya’s upper leg.

It’s half an hour later when there’s a knock on Akutagawa’s door. He originally questions if someone is even knocking, because of how loud the neighbor’s music is, and how loud the pain pounding on his window is. He still gets up to check anyway. Atsushi is leaning against his doorway, soaking wet and shivering. Akutagawa blinks, surprised.
How did he get my address? Why is he here?
“Jinko?”
“Sorry, I didn’t think I could get anywhere else,” Atsushi whispers, his breathing labored.
Akutagawa pulls him inside, then shuts the door. Atsushi looks as though he’s trying to figure out if Akutagawa is going to stab him or not.

Bakugo walks into his house from his run, music jamming loudly in his earbuds. It’s oddly empty. Normally at this hour, his mom would be making breakfast, and they would both be getting ready to go to work. He takes his earbuds out, dropping them into his pocket.
“Mom? Dad?” he calls, slipping his hearing aids into his ears.
No one responds, leaving the house still and quiet.
“Maybe they already went to work. I guess I’ll make breakfast, and see if they come down.”

Summary
Dazai watches as Chuuya decimates the battlefield with Corruption. He looks on with wonder, as he tends to do when faced with lots of death. He’s so busy watching the scene in front of him that he doesn’t notice the man coming up behind him. The man slams a gun into the back of Dazai’s head.
Dazai hits the ground, his vision blurring in and out. He’s not sure how long he’s out, but when he can fully lift his head again, the man is dead. He’s nothing more than guts and a stray leg. Dazai tries to pull himself to his feet even as his vision is spinning. Chuuya is still destroying things a few yards away. How far away Chuuya is from Dazai is probably the only reason Dazai’s didn’t die from getting impaled or crushed.
He rushes forward, then grabs Chuuya’s wrist. They both fall forward in a pile of blood and tangled limbs. Dazai’s vision keeps spinning, and Chuuya’s face is distorted even as he throws up blood. Dazai forces himself up, and twists Chuuya onto his side. Chuuya’s hazy eyes open, and stare up at Dazai’s face.
