He felt sick with panic and anger and guilt. Robert was out there somewhere, probably hating him, probably realising he dodged a bullet by fucking Rebecca's tiny brains out, and Aaron would have no idea because he'd be banged up again because he did it, he finally did it, he broke it, broke them . His mind was at war with itself, half screaming to keep his mouth shut, it's Robert's fault anyway. He cheated, he lied, because he's Robert fucking Sugden and he breaks people for a living. The rest of him was spiralling down into guilt. He could see it now, the moment it happened, the wrench flying through the air and hitting his husband directly on the head. He couldn't be sure whether he'd intended to check on him in the moment or not, he just knew that he was so angry and he felt sick and then Adam was pulling him away before he could really tell what was happening.

Male pregnancies weren’t impossible but they were uncommon, especially in a tiny village in the north of England like Emmerdale. Neither Aaron or Robert had ever even heard of men getting pregnant.
The couple were newly married, had their big house and Aaron’s teenage sister to care for, children weren’t really a priority. Yes they had spoken about adopting or surrogacy being a possibility in their future but they never put a proper timeline on said future.
