Summary
The Z-Team is being sent on a short-term work trip. The only problem is that the destination is hours away… and the way carpooling ended up having Flambae, Prism, and Waterboy crammed into Robert’s shitty little Honda Civic… and whatever weird combination of flirting, bonding, and bullying each other is going on in the passenger seats. Not to mention Waterboy’s surprising taste in music.
This was going to be a long drive… especially when that work trip was to a conference being held by the Salt Lake City SDN— and considering how many PR nightmares they’d already caused? Things were only downhill from here.

Herman knew she called everyone that, it was her version of saying 'dude' or 'bro', but he still couldn't get the sound of the word moving over pretty lips out of his head, he knew he'd be replaying it in his head before he fell asleep tonight. He realized that the pause in conversation he caused was stretching from understandable to awkward rapidly.

Victor snorted and then winced when Mal swatted him with the hand on Herman's hip.

Waterboy didn’t expect to get this job. He just assumed he would fail and move on with his life, but to his surprise he got the job at the SDN, and he was fine with the janitor job; it was the perfect job for him! So again he thought he would just be the janitor and be fine with it, but once again just like how he thought he wouldn’t get this job he got promoted to being an actual super hero, helping people and saving life’s! Sure he wasn’t so popular with the team but that didn’t matter to him, at least not a lot. But his luck had other plans so again after defeating shroud, he was actually accepted into the team! He was finally friends with the Z team! Well apart from Flambae whom would be nice (to an extent) some days and other days he kept up with the insults and jokes but Waterboy didn’t mind. He already felt so complete, could things get any better??

Herman always had a... complicated relationship with his powers, far more than the average super. So when he was offered a special drug by one of Sonar's old buddies, something that could help him control his powers? Why would he pass up the chance for something he'd dreamed of for years?
