I had this story in my head for a few years and has been developing it over time. I have finally gotten down to business to writing it. Please bear in mind that I am not a native English speaker, thus there might be some mistakes in there. I also edit and beta this whole thing alone, with only some input from my friend who provided a few minor characters to the story and is the main reason I started writing it down. When Sandy found out she was pregnant with Sodapop’s baby, her parents sent her to live with their cousins in New York. They reside on the west side, and her cousin is part of a gang. Although she and her cousin Riff were really close, they knew they couldn’t do this alone she needed a home, so he introduced her to The Jets.
Riff had changed a lot since the Rumble. The experience had made him realize how he much he wanted to live. He barely made out of the Rumble alive. After that, he made a treaty with the sharks for peace. Tony and Maria started dating, and everything seemed normal. He also made up with Valentina, and she gave him a job at Doc’s. Additionally, he saved up enough money to start renting his family’s old apartment. Then one day he got a call from his aunt and uncle in Tulsa. He convinced them he was his father, and they asked him if he could take in their pregnant teenage daughter. Riff decided that if her parents were trying to get of her when she needed them the most, the didn’t deserve her, so he agreed. And that’s when the chaos began

Riff didn't answer. Didn't even look at her.Letting out a disappointed sigh, her eyes found the moon again, attempting to find solace in something that was so very far away.
"𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪?" she finally dared to ask.
Riff looked over at her in surprise, but she was still staring at the sky.
"What's there to think about?"
An annoyed huff escaped her lips.
